The accommodation was wonderful and the staff and good exceptional. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special especially for our anniversary

Wow what an incredible pool! 30-40 mtrs long depending.
the building oozes colonial charms and is well maintained..glorious location right on Perfume River (Song Huong) and easy walking distance to many sights, cafes and restaurants. Breakfast staff very welcoming, provided special request mango, assembled excellent pho and as with all the staff provided a gracious hospitality. The concierge Ms Moon was resourceful and friendly...arranging a tour of tombs & surprising us with an anniversary bouquet of roses and sweet treats...the related restaurant Le Circle less than 10 mn walk down the river is splendid with perfect sunset views. Front desk crew and drivers first rate and enjoyed good massage at the spa. For some good local food visit Madame Thu and for upscale dining in a lovely villa across the river is Les Jardins de Carambole. Try the local salt coffee and for great roastery of Vietnamese Arabica (from many areas)...go to Nha Quin..about 7 mn by cab.

Gorgeous, understated art deco hotel. Well maintained, spotlessly clean, and excellent service. The staff are attentive and very friendly. The food and beverage quality is excellent. We did the cooking class the hotel offers with Chef Tri and loved it. We appreciated the trip to the market with Chef Tri as our guide and enjoyed learning how to make three Vietnamese dishes. Strong y recommend doing the class with Chef Tri! We also did the sunset cruise to the Thien Mu pagoda and recommend very highly. Lovely canapes and we opted for extra champagne in addition to the one complementary cocktail.
Definitely stay here if you visit Hue. Centrally located, near the train station and a short drive, walk or bike to the imperial palace historic site.

It is a stunning hotel which exceeds my expectations. A hidden gem and all team perform excellently for client experiences. Excellent English communications and very warm greetings from ALL team members.

Concierge services amazing. The art Deco bldg is impeccable designed and maintained.
Music is terrible for some reason and it detracts from dining atmosphere. It’s an easy fix.

Small hotel with boutique feel. Beautiful touches. Loved their green ethos with glass water bottles - not plastic. Loved the water cooler option.
It would be good to take a greener approach with the bathroom products - refillable shampoos and conditioners rather than the plastic ones.

La Residence was the most perfect place to stay. The restored Art Deco building was amazing. it is such a grand building set in beautiful gardens. Our room was very comfortable and our balcony looked over the river. The most delicious breakfast. A fantastic pool which was needed after a day exploring Hue. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We used the hotel bikes to get around Hue. Our stay at La Residence has been a highlight of our trip to Vietnam.

Beautiful art deco style building with great location on the river very near to the Citadel. The hotel is very well run and beautifully maintained. It was raining during our stay so we didn’t get to explore the grounds or the pool but they looked lovely as well. The cocktail bar is a lovely place to have a drink after a day of sightseeing.
The bed was especially firm and hard for my comfort level made it difficult to sleep.

Great location on river across from Imperial Palace. Pleasant walk along the river to the bustling business center. Huge pool and great room with balcony overlooking river. Delicious breakfast buffet and some thoughtful snacks in room. Kind staff.

Pool was as deep as 2.7m but there was no lifeguard! Bathroom was too small.

Wide range of choice for dinner menu. Prices for dinner good by hotel standards. Staff friendly and helpful with good standard of English.
Rather noisy hotel - various sources. A lot of noise from frogs in the hotel pond right throughout the night. Hard to sleep through it. Noise too from staff starting the day shift at 06:00.
