A little old; price could be lower for self-checking hotel

marvellous view with superb amenities. The breakfast was really good and the kitchen was open 24X7 to use. The location was amazing with the castle view and surrounded by mountains. The rooms were also very spacious and well maintained.

The staff were great, beds very comfortable, lift efficient and shower fantastic!!! Good location near the Schloss so a pretty walk down into the old town. Had a kettle and fridge in the room which was great. Our room had a huge balcony with wonderful view of the Schloss. Very quiet in the room.

Nothing really. Decor not to my taste but was tidy and clean. Strong smell of frying from the Imbiss next door but only in hotel corridor not in the room.

Location, comfort and very good breakfast.

The group of men outside the hotel were intimidating when we arrived in the dark. No staff on duty so did not feel safe.

The brakfast was delicious. I was able to taste a wonderful assortment of Swiss cheeses and jams. The staff was wonderful and the tables were unpolluted and the room was welcoming and beautifully decorated.

This hotel overlooks the nearby castle. There’s a slide and swing set nearby and self check in is easy. The staff are really friendly (and the owner/manager) very kindly gave us a lift to the station when our taxi didn’t come. They give a good breakfast and access to the same area throughout the day (with microwave and coffee machine)

The set up of the rooms are a little unusual.

Wonderful cosy hotel close to the castle in Brig. Family atmosphere... Self-check in is not so scary (but look out for the national letters machine cannot find the reservation with them - it is better to use simple latin characters or have the number of reservation without dots - Booking.com's print includes some dots). Wonderful views, and almost every room has balcony. Mountains are around so view is always ok. Great Swiss breakfast with cheese... Prices are really good considering Switzerland...

Small, cozy, close to the station, very good for those arriving late at night - the self check-in service was very easy to use.

The breakfast consisted essentially only of bread products and yoghurt.

Friendly helpful staff

The bed and the pillow were very good, so the hotel has fulfilled its most important function: I got very good sleep.

1. The check-in machine did not accept the MasterCard from a major U.S. bank that was accepted by booking.com. 2. The sink was clogged pretty badly. 3. The lid of the tea kettle was broken. 4. The shower cabin was so small that I decided to skip it altogether that morning. 5. There was no explanation whatsoever where the restroom is and how to open it, even though this is the most important information for a room with a separate restroom. 6. The breakfast was pretty mediocre, definitely the worst breakfast that I had in five different hotels on this trip. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was cheaper than competition, but there were reasons for that other than "efficiency" claimed by the hotel owners. It was OK for one night, but keep in mind the above.
