We had a fantastic stay at The Village Resort Taupo, thanks to the wonderful new management by Carole and Paul. Despite only recently taking over, they handled an issue with our initial apartment promptly and efficiently, relocating us to a clean, comfortable, and quiet one-bedroom apartment that had everything we needed. Their dedication and attention to detail made our stay truly enjoyable and relaxing. We have no doubt that under their leadership, the resort will continue to improve and get even better. We would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to seeing how the resort thrives under their care!

Arrived at around 2:45 pm and waited over 20min for the receptionist. Called her on the phone number provided and also text her, there were 3 people waiting to be checked in. When she did turn up at the reception she reminded us that we could call her as she was on her break, we mentioned that we did call and send a text, she realized her phone was muted.

Affordable worth for money as my family enjoyed staying here at the property,girls also enjoyed spa and heated pool

The spa pool looked nice
It wasn't toddler friendly at all, there were spikes coming up under the carpet by the door, the couch was against the wall where if a toddler climbed it they could easily fall, there were no door locks. Alot about the room wasn't toddler friendly

The room was spacious and had good facilities such as washer and dryer and dishwasher etc.
The view from the apartment was directly onto the cars of the people staying next door and then a brick wall the other side. Very far from the lake and zero views. Staff didn’t seem very welcoming or warm. The swimming pool is also very small and didn’t seem inviting.

Nice spacious apartment with a good view.
You couldn’t get fresh air in two of the bedrooms. One had no window. The other had only sliding doors that opened to the outside.

Our room was awesome we especially loved the washing machine and drier and also the tv in the room was a bonus. Loved the space was awesome for our kids as it felt like a little house. The bed was abit hard but doesn’t help I’m pregnant so yeah.

The location was very close to the lake but set back enough from the road for traffic noise to not be an issue. I loved the kitchen dining room - and actually had friends over for dinner instead of going out, which meant a cheaper and much more relaxing evening! The bedrooms were lovely . The washing machine and drier very valued - we were there for my daughter to do a swim meet and being able to dry the towels was a fantastic!

Great motel, staff and facilities. Spa was lovely. Was good to be able to book a time slot for the spa. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
Disappointed that the pool was not open during our stay as it was advertised as being open and was one of the reasons for choosing this location.
