I cannot say enough good things about this property. It is even better than it looked in the photos! The house is completely charming, clean, well-stocked with everything you need. And the VIEW! We loved being able to see the lake out the giant windows.
The house does sit near a busy road, but we loved the fact that we got such gorgeous views while still being right near downtown. We walked to restaurants, stores and coffee shops, and thought the area was lovely.
We stayed with two of our teenage children and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Especially enjoyed having access to the washer and dryer since we had been traveling for a week prior to arrival and needed to do some laundry.
Susan left us some delicious pastries upon arrival, which were much appreciated. Very, very happy with our choice to book her place!

We were headed to Marquette for a college visit with our niece. Found this home by chance and was so happy with it. The house is beautifully decorated and located near everything. The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 3. The kitchen is all set up for someone who likes to cook and there’s even an outdoor grill. We will definitely look to stay here again next time we’re headed to Marquette.

I can’t say enough positives about our stay. We originally came up north to watch the dog sled race and spend some time with our daughter who lives in Marquette. The race was cancelled but The Blue Harbor View Bungalow made up for our disappointment in missing the race. Walking distance to local shops, breweries, coffee shops and other great retail. Just minutes away from Marquette Mountain for skiing, endless trails for hiking, snowshoeing , mountain biking, or XC skiing. This house is perfect. We just arrived back in Grand Rapids and we’re already talking about our next visit and stay at this exceptional rental.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and the host. The home is warm and inviting, it is immaculate and leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to amenities. Susan has done the most amazing job honoring the history or this home and sharing that with the guests. Subtle nods to the local area can also be seen throughout the home. Blue Harbor View has a ‘high end’ feel without creating that sense of ‘don’t touch anything. Our family felt truly invited to settle right in. This will be my preferred accommodation anytime I find myself in the beautiful Marquette area. Thank you Susan!!

The property is very well decorated with every amenity and convenience. Very thoughtful remodel. A short ten minute walk to town and great restaurants with sidewalks the whole way. The view is awesome and the property is surrounded by mature trees that offer privacy. Any time we are in Marquette we’ll be looking up this place again. Thanks for a great time.

The house was very cool. Cool art work and furnishings! Very well equipped and comfortable. My wife loved the soaking tub! Super convenient to downtown. Susan was a great host with excellent communication!

Very relaxing place to stay. Very nice decor but not over done. We spent most of our time on the front porch with the beautiful view of Lake Superior. Good supply of kitchen items. We will be back.

We loved this cute, comfortable and updated 1880 bungalow which is easy walking distance to downtown and the lake. The "spa like shower and tub" is beautiful and my wife joked that she wants to hire Susan for decorating advice. While Chicago was "real feel" of 115-degree F during August heatwave, Marquette was comfortable 65-degree F each day. I'd recommend and would like to return.

The pictures posted in the listing do an excellent job of capturing the look and feel of this super cute home. The layout of the house is great with the windows providing a nice view of the lake. My husband and I had the opportunity to stay in Susan's home for a little over a week over spring break. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this is by far one of the best homes we have ever stayed in. The home is so comfortable, bright and spotlessly clean! The kitchen has every thing you need! Very comfortable beds and top quality linens. And the bathroom with the heated floor, heated towel rack and amazing shower and tub are the icing on the cake! And of course there is the view of Lake Superior which is peaceful even in the winter! Susan gave us tips ahead of time about the area and every recommendation was outstanding. Thank you Susan for sharing your lovely home! We feel so refreshed!

This is such a fantastic place! Our family of 5 stayed for 2 nights for a ski trip. The decor and colors are very inviting. It's a charming place with beautiful views of the bay. The soaking tub and heated floors in the bathroom were such a treat. Susan was wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I immediately felt at 'home'. The kitchen was stocked with everything required for cooking a Thanksgiving meal. The view of Lake Superior and the sun coming up was spectacular. Wonderful property close to downtown
Everything is so well done in this cute little bungalow in walking distance of the harbor and downtown Marquette. To say Susan, the owner, thought of everything is an understatement. Very well stocked and beautiful, yet casual enough to feel homey. The weather was perfect to sit out on the front porch or side deck and enjoy a book or the view of the water. You won’t regret booking this house!

Lovely modern bungalow
We stayed here during the Noque and loved this modern updated bungalow just a short walk from the historic district in Marquette. The spa bathroom was fabulous. The kitchen was really nicely equipped which was great since we did a lot of cooking. There are beautiful views of Lake Superior from the kitchen and living room. The bedrooms were roomy (not typical for bungalows) and beautifully decorated. Communication with Susan was easy. We loved it so much we plan on coming back in the summer!

Charming…lovely…absolutely amazing!
My husband and I had to make a pretty last minute trip to Marquette from South Carolina. Needless to say—it was a long drive and we were eager to get to the bungalow and relax. We were greeted by a clean, inviting, beautiful space! The bungalow is everything listed and seen in pictures and more!!! We cannot wait to make another trip and, in the future, will stay here (and recommend it to anyone looking!). Thank you, Susan, for making a special trip for us even more wonderful!!

Great Place to Stsy
What a wonderful, clean, fresh home to stay. The house is beautiful inside and out! The bathroom was like a luxurious spa and the kitchen had everything one could need. Susan was great to work with and check in/out was easy. The beds were so comfortable. Great location. So close to downtown. Susan thought of every little detail. Highly recommend!

The house was a pleasure to stay at, beautiful views overlooking Lake Superior, close to downtown, and plenty of space to store our bikes in the shed out back. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basic necessities and there was plenty of counter space for meal preparation. The house was very tastefully decorated and the bathroom was spa like, a very nice touch after having a long day on the bike. We look forward to staying here again and can't recommend this property enough.

We loved this house. The owner has thought of everything and the house is so well appointed. Loved the furnishings and great location to enjoy all that Marquette has to offer. We would definitely recommend and hope to stay again. We have rented many houses and this was one of our best experiences.
