The property was nice and the location to DC was excellent. However, there are some deficiencies. The bedrooms are small, and outlets are very limited. Windows in one room would not close tight so did not try to force them. The shower in the main bedroom was extremely small, hardly enough room to even turnaround. Kitchen was well stocked, and appliances are new. The internet was fast, and TV was new, still had the plastic on it. The couches were terrible and never meant to be sat on. That left no seating in the main room for anything. Dining table was fine and had 6 chairs which provided the only seating in the main room. The property manager was extremely nice and always available. He provided dining options and helped with the limited parking. Jacob was the most responsive manager that I have worked with on VRBO. Thanks, Jacob, for all your help. The property was everything you could provide based on what was available.

The home was very clean and a great place to relax with friends after spending the day exploring DC. Quiet neighborhood. The property manager was very communicative. Highly recommended.

Very clean property and quiet neighborhood (said there was a neighborhood quiet hour after 10:00 PM). We appreciated the no shoes rule. Also the owner showed us the private parking in the back that was more secure which was nice. Comfortable beds. The only thing I would wish to be different would be more comfortable couches in the living room.

The property was clean and in a nice and convenient location. Jacob was very responsive and helpful from the booking to checkout.

The accommodations are very nice. The property is convenient to the Capitol, White House, and other attractions. Even with four to six of us transportation was affordable using LYFT and UBER. Because of our age we could not do a lot of walking so we did not try to use the Metro, but saved our walking for the attractions. Very comfortable beds. Jacob was very accommodating.

We did not spend a lot of time in the home but it was clean and comfortable. We were very pleased with Jacob the owner who was very helpful and available for any questions, etc. Our overall experience was very positive and we enjoyed the Home very much.

House was nice. Back gate little difficult to use if you plan to park back there. Very clean and updated. Overall very nice stay

Jacob was amazingly responsive, answered any questions about the space within minutes, felt fully confident he would manage any issues (there weren't any!) House was fresh, tidy and comfortable ( before I read people say there is a mothball smell . but I and our group did not smell it, the house smells just as our own house, fresh and very homey)- we had a lovely time! Would return if in DC agiain-

We were scheduled from 6/6 to 6/16 and left for another location on 6/10, would have left sooner if we could have made arrangements. Their ad states that it is a safe location, I guess so if you wanted neighbors that start playing loud music in the cars and yelling profanities in the wee hours of the morning. This happened almost every night. With having 5 children with us we felt this was not a safe or healthy environment for them Also, the house has a definite odor to it that penetrates your hair and clothing. We had to launder our clothes twice, sometimes three times to get the odor out. All of our luggage also needed to be aired out and the clean clothes contained in them as well laundered. We addressed this multiple times to Jacob and he said there was no odor. Evidently the 8 of us were imagining it...not!!! Also, twice there were bugs in the basement shower, Jacob denied that as well. When a refund was requested Jacob made all kinds of excuses and still has not given a definitive answer. I would not recommend this house to anyone.

Jacob was extremely communicative before, during and after our stay. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He made sure clean towels and water were available daily. I realized that he just wants to be ready for help any time and hopes the guests to feel comfortable like at home. Our group was very pleased!!! I would recommend Jacob as a host to any friends or colleague.

The house is very nice inside. in the rooms there are towels, maps, coupons , bottle waters places on the bed side tables. It is close to public transportations; bike shares and bus stops just in front of the house, metro two blocks away. but you can easily uber lyft or use Via ride shares everywhere in DC just around $4 - $8. we had a great stay and Jacob is very responsive and helpful.

La maison n’est pas loins de metro, convenient pour aller à DC. Très mignonne, dans chaque chambre, il y a l’eau, le mouchoir, la serviette, tous ce qu’il faut. La salle de bain et le toilette sont aussi très propres. Le propriétaire Jacob est un fellow très sympa, très accueillant! Il répond tous de suite et fournisse tous les infos que on besoins, on a sent comme on est chez nous, très confortable. C'est un endroit que on recommande fortement!

I had a 3-day weekend visit to Washington DC and ended up living in Jacob's places after researching options for couple hours. The descriptions are accurate. The house is in quite area but within 5 mins walking distance to restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The Union Station and Congress building is 2 miles away so I just walked. Most tour sites are within Uber distance of ~$10. There is a middle school right in front of the house so it is pretty safe. The house was clean, furnished and charming. I lived in the 2nd floor. There is a big screen TV with Netflex available. Kitchen is nice. There is a front yard and back yard. I parked for free in the street because it was a weekend, but Jacob said I can also park in the backyard.

This is the best place to stay if you are in D.C. tour.

Jacob’s house is very nice and cozy, and full of useful amenities. The kitchen has coffee and tea, a large refrigerator, and appliances. There are hair dryer and iron, and the shower is equipped with a variety of hair and soap products. And there are leftover Metro cards. What I liked was the sper speed internet and the washer and dryer! The street parking is free at night and limited at day time, the house has a backyard that could park two cars. Overall we had a great stay.

The house is very nice and we felt ourselves at home. The host is very welcoming and ready for us any time for any question. He checked on us while we stay, thanks for that. The rooms are well organized, clean and tidy. Fresh and new sheets and towels. We recommend this place and the host . By the way very convenient and great location ;-)

My group and I were disappointed in this property for a variety of reasons. First the location was fine however the pictures do not show you that the view from the front of the house looks at dumpsters and garbage. The house rules were interesting and included asking guests to remove shoes upon entering the house. The house is made of hardwood floors so, I didn’t find this necessary and found it to be borderline inappropriate to request this. The most alarming part of staying here (and the reason for a not great review) was the insanely strong smell of mothballs throughout the house. My group and I resorted to lighting candles and spraying air freshener just to mask the smell. We tried to figure out where it was coming from but it was EVERYWHERE. We stayed here through this because we were not in the house very often but, I find the need to warn other potential renters that the smell is so strong that it penetrates everything. When my group and I returned to our homes, our luggage and personal belongings were saturated with the smell of mothballs. Anything that was left in the house when we were out now smells of mothballs. This includes clothing that was INSIDE my luggage - and our luggage itself. One member of my group needs to have her luggage professionally cleaned due to the smell. I have reached out to VRBO who told me they contacted the property opener of this but I have heard nothing from him. He was a pleasant host and was available when needed for questions. He contacted me on a daily basis and asked me to prolong my stay for a “discount” which obviously I did not take him up on.

Great experience. Jacob was extremely helpful. The beds were ultra comfortable, and the place was very clean. Lots of little extras, like bottled water, coupons, box of tissues next to the bed were pulled out to form a bow. Surprises like those made for a Wonderfull stay. This is one of the best Airbnb experiences I have ever had since last year.

Property: The photos are a perfect representation of the actual property. It is as cool, spacious, clean, and elegant as you see. The bathrooms are clean, and have forceful, hot water pressure. The bedrooms are spacious with very comfy beds AND bedding. The kitchen has plenty of mugs, plates, bowls, and pots to feel like you're at home. The curved, smart Samsung TV is incredible, and it comes equipped with Netflix, and other streaming apps. The furniture is comfortable and accommodating. There is a spacious backyard with outdoor furniture, and a front porch as well. Owner: If the property gets 5 stars, Jacob deserves 6. He made sure we were safe, comfortable, and happy throughout our entire stay, and provided us with resources to take full advantage of DC (i.e. list of bars, restaurants, etc.; and other thoughtful services that I'll allow you to experience as a surprise like we did). He asked us what we needed to feel like we were at home, which made it feel much more hospitable and less transactional. Jacob responds very quickly and is easily accessible by phone / Home Away app messaging. Do yourself a favor; if you like this place, book this place with confidence! A+ for Jacob and his property.

The house... is home away from home. It's spacious, colorful and updated. You can tell love is constantly put into the house. Our group of 4 millenials totally enjoyed everything including the location to everything. Thank you Jacob for your hospitality - local restaurant and transportation information and periodic check ins. All appreciated.

Jacob is amazing - he made our stay! The place is well taken care of. The neighborhood is ok - but the nearness to downtown and shopping and food is perfect for the rent.
