Schroon Lake est une charmante petite communauté remplie d'aventures nichées entre Lake George et Lake Placid. Maison 4 saisons! Schroon offre tout ce que vous voulez et rien que vous n'aimez! Un lac propre et baignable avec une merveilleuse petite plage et une marina pour louer des pontons et des bateaux rapides avec tubing! Tout à Schroon est un peu plus facile que partout ailleurs. Pas de lignes, pas de frais pour se garer à la plage. Juste l'air amical de la montagne!
Le lac Schroon a une ville charmante avec plusieurs restaurants incroyables, une vie nocturne animée, de la musique live tous les soirs, des foires artisanales, de bons cafés, du vélo, des randonnées, un parcours de golf de 9 trous en plein dans la ville. Séjournez à Schroon ou partez pour une excursion d'une journée à Lake Placid où vous pourrez vous arrêter, faire de la randonnée, nager et voir les magnifiques montagnes de l'ADK et le sommet du mont Marci! Ou prenez une journée à Lake George et parasail, manger sur l'eau, aller pour une croisière de feux d'artifice.
Apportez vos gros jouets! Notre maison de 6 acres est littéralement située sur le sentier de motoneige et parcourt des kilomètres et des kilomètres. En été, vous pouvez faire du quad et du dirt bike. En hiver, vous pouvez faire de la motoneige jusqu'à Gore et skier à seulement 20 minutes. Le lac Schroon est connu pour ses carnavals d'hiver et cette ville reste vivante tout l'hiver. Nous avons notre propre étang isolé sur notre route qui est spectaculaire pour le kayak et la pêche. Notre location vient avec un kayak deux places et un bateau de pêche avec moteur à la traîne. Notre dernier locataire a attrapé plus de 50 poissons en une journée sur notre étang !! C'est vraiment un joyau !!! et la pêche aussi. House a des cannes à pêche, des vélos et des jouets à utiliser. Nous ne pouvons pas attendre que votre famille commence à créer des souvenirs ici!

This house is PERFECT for a large family vacation! We had seven adults and two dogs and there was plenty of space, every amenity you could ask for, location was perfect, private yet not far from the town. We cannot express what a wonderful vacation we all had together at this house. We are already discussing renting again next year! Thank you for your perfect home!

The loose moose lodge was the ideal location for our family getaway! With 7 adults and 5 kids, there was plenty of room for everyone. The location couldn’t have been better with less than a 5 minute drive from Schroon village and the public beach and within 30 minutes to many other local amenities, including Lake George. The host was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Loose Moose Lodge was in the middle of a power outage that lasted an additional 36 hours after our arrival. Mary Jane had contacted us about the situation before our arrival. Lanterns were easily accessed. The cleaning crew did an exemplary job, making beds and preparing the facility with no electricity. We were a party of 13 ranging in age from 4 years to 70+. . The many bedrooms suited our family perfectly! The woods provide privacy, yet we’re close to Schroon Lake’s excellent swimming beach and shopping area. Seagle Music Festival is just a few miles up Charley Hill Rd where you can enjoy musicals and opera productions. The information book at the lodge helped us find activités such as Lumberjack mini-golf. We also went on several hikes. The hot tub, old fashioned video games, ping-pong, pool table, corn hole, badminton, darts, board games and the fire circle were enjoyed by all. Beds were comfortable; toiletries and towels for showers and the beach were plentiful. There’s also a large washer and dryer! Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

If you're looking for a place that is secluded but also close to a quaint town that has everything, this is the place for you. We stayed with six people, but the house could have easily fit double that it was the best place for a relaxing get away. Highlights for us were the quiet surroundings, the game room for the kids, the hot tub for mom, the hike down the road to Horseshoe Pond (where we found an actual horseshoe!) and the 3 minute drive into town to use the beach, go to restaurants, the food store, and even catch a movie in the old movie theater. Truly awesome place!

It's a beautiful place, plenty of activities to do around the house and downtown Schroon Lake has plenty of amenities too. We caught the eclipse in the back yard and had a spectacular time the whole weekend. The host was responsive when we had questions and was proactive in getting us the information we needed ahead of time.

Our family sincerely enjoyed our stay at the Loose Moose! We had thirteen people (ages: 5,8,9,12,14,15,17, 44,45,48,49,73, and 74). There was plenty of space and plenty of fun for everyone! We downhill skied at Gore for two days and cross-country skied at Van Hoevenberg one day. We skated, bowled, and hiked! We had great family time at the house! We played board games, billiards, ping-pong, and had a campfire in the backyard! My Dad earned the top Pac-Man score with over 20,000 points, shattering the old record (see if you can top it on the classic standup arcade console in the game room)! The hot tub, couches, chairs, and tables were perfect! The moose and antler decor was well-selected and very creative! This house was excellent for relaxation, fun, and family time! We have stayed in about ten other great Vrbo houses around the country and the Loose Moose is 5 stars for sure!

This house is all as described and more! The rooms were clean and spacious and the kitchen allowed us to cook big meals. There are TV’s in every room and a nice game room. The porch was a great feature as we had a couple of days of rain but the porch allowed us to be outside regardless. The fire pit was a great place to relax in the evening with a fire and there was plenty of firewood. The hot tub was a great way to relax as well. The area around the house was quiet with plenty of nature…Schroon lake was a short drive away with small shops and a few restaurants. Also great for fishing a I caught a 3-pound large mouth bass. A very quaint and quiet town. This house is well located with easy access to the highway. Overall our whole family enjoyed the week we spent there and truly loved this outstanding home. The owner, Mary Jane, was always available when we had questions and was a great host! She made our stay even more enjoyable.

We had a nice 10-day vacation staying here. Everyone really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night (with plenty of wood) and using the hot tub. The kitchen/dining area was plenty big for our group (10) where we ate most of our meals, played games, and just enjoyed being together. Schroon Lake was a short drive away and great for the kids. The mosquitoes were definitely an annoyance and we've never seen them in swarms like that. Don't know if that is normal in the Adirondacks in the summer or if it was due to the high amount of rain this year.
One last comment: communicating with the owner was fantastic. She was fantastic and immediately responded to every question I had. She even gave us an update from the power company when the electricity went out during a storm and told us which restaurants were open (or closed) during the outage!

Our crew had a great time at this property. The house is about 5 minutes from town so easy to pick up groceries for dinner. The game room downstairs is awesome, plenty of seating/space for a large group, a very comfortable stay for us all. The owner is very friendly and responsive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

AMAZING is how I can some up this trip and our stay! Mary Jane was prompt with her replies and extremely accommodating. The weather wasn’t very nice for two days and she went out of her way to make it right. I am grateful to her for that. My parents hearts left full. For the first time in many years they had all their children under one roof for a week. I would love to come back and enjoy this beautiful home in the future!

The house was well maintained, inviting, and in a great location. We were minutes from Schroon Lake and 30 minutes to Lake George.
The kids loved running around on the property. There were plenty of things for them to do! Our hosts responded quickly to messages and encouraged us to use the small boat, fishing equipment, and other toys at the house. This us a great spot to visit in the summer!

My friends and I stayed at the cabin for a long weekend. The weather did not cooperate fully and we had some more time at the cabin than expected, but the place was perfect for it. More than enough space inside and out. The porch and fire pit were great places to hang out together, not to mention the amazing hot tub. Mary Jane was a wonderful host, would absolutely seek to stay here again.

Our family stayed here for our winter ski vacation to Gore and Whiteface Mountains. It was an incredible location and space. The home was cozy, comfortable, and inviting - we couldn't wait to get home and relax for the evening after a full day of skiing. Lots of great restaurants just minutes away. Communication with the owners was top-notch! You won't be disappointed. Trust me when I say this home has everything you need. We look forward to booking again in the future.

After the hustle and bustle of Christmas our family (6 adults and 3 children) were looking for a remote, quiet getaway. This rental fit all our needs perfectly. It was large enough to comfortably fit all 9 of us. We enjoy making meals at home and the kitchen came stocked with many condiments, spices, and oils, along with almost all the pots, pans, and kitchen gadgets we needed.
The property itself is just beautiful. The hot tub, and fire pit at the rear of the house allows you to enjoy the remote feeling of this property. We sledded, hot tubbed and had s’mores all within 100 ft. A truly memorable day!
I didn’t see this in other reviews so just wanted to note that the easiest access (without walking all the way around the house) to the hot tub is through an exterior door in the bunk room upstairs. Since this was where our kids were sleeping/napping it did limit our easy access to the hot tub. It’s not a big deal and we made it work, but just wanted to let others know the set up so you can plan for it.
The host was extremely easy to work with and very responsive. She clearly cares about your enjoyment of her property and the ease of your stay. Thank you so much!!

When we decided to get married in Schroon Lake, we wanted a place for our family to stay that was not too far from the village. And this place did that and SO MUCH MORE! Everyone remarked on how much this home had to offer. You can visit some rentals that are bare-bones - not this one. It has so many amenities, little things you might have forgotten, plenty of towels and blankets, not including all the things you can do on the property, like a bonfire, the hot tub, or the basketball hoop. It was perfect in every way and we all cannot wait to go back. We did have a mishap - we accidentally broke a light, but Mary Jane was gracious and kind. Mary Jane is a phenomenal host, very responsive, kind, and flexible. I highly recommend this home to anyone considering visiting Schroon Lake.

What a WONDERFUL property! This house is just as described, if not BETTER. Plenty of room for our large group (3 separate families.) Cute town and plenty to do and enjoy outside and inside. The whole experience was fantastic. The pond up the street about a mile was serene. The beach in town was not crowded and was easy to access. There was a fully stocked pile of dry firewood available for us to use.

Great home in ADK!
We loved this home! It was a great location just off the beaten path but only a mile from the town and Schroon Lake. The house is fully equipped with a hot tub, fire pit with plenty of seating, sunrise and sunset decks, lots of towels and kitchen supplies, two living spaces and more! It was perfect for our 3 generations spanning my 79 year old father to my 10 year old daughter. We loved it!

We were given plenty of flexibility on check in and check out.
I was worried we wouldn't have enough sleeping options so we brought air mattresses to supplement the beds, but didn't need them as there were big sectionals, futons, pull down/out beds, and a mattress in the nook under the stairs.
Campfire, Hot Tub, Basketball, Ping Pong and Pool tables were all a big hit.
Tons of parking space too.
Would definitely come back!

Amazing Weekend
I rented this beautiful home for my 30th birthday and I have to say I was not disappointed. I will be renting this place again. It is so clean and spacious. We rented it for the weekend and we found we couldn't do everything that this place offers since it offers so much. From zipline to hot tub to hiking to swimming to many other things. Not only was the place nice but Mary the host was fantastic easy to reach always available. And she made my birthday weekend very special.
If you are on the fence about renting this place don't be you will not be disappointed.
P.s.
The atmosphere there was so calming you will be able to just get away from the world and recharge.
