It’s small but vibey, close to the harbour and supermarket. Very clean, helpful and friendly staff, and the private room was very comfortable

Das Hostel ist schön gestaltet; alles scheint neu renoviert. Das Zimmer war sauber, ruhig und das Bett bequem. Das Frühstück konnte man aus verschiedenen Optionen auswählen. Wir erhielten einen Welcome-Drink. In ca. 15 Min. Fussmarsch war man im Getsemani-Quartier.

Wir übernachteten in der Silvesternacht dort und bezahlten überdurchschnittlich viel für ein Hostelzimmer.

I really enjoyed that there was a bar, restaurant (until 2pm), and pool but that it was not a party hostel. The pool was cleaned every morning. I also liked that it was away from all the commotion of the centre. It was about a ten minute taxi ride to the centre. Also the supermarket down the street was very convenient. There were also ATMs located in the supermarket. The AC in the room worked great.

Breakfast was included but you have to pay for extras such as avocado, ham, etc. The bed was on the small side and hard but not out of the ordinary. Restaurant is only open until 2pm but after that it is a shared kitchen.

Clean , quiet and comfortable with kind helpful and friendly staff . The breakfast by the pool was excellent . We loved Michael the cat. A great place to stay near the marina . Was perfect for us as we arrived by boat . Only a short walk to Getsemani or a cheap Uber ride. Highly recommend. Has a bar and laundry service The free happy hour cocktail was delicious and a nice surprise.

Nice swimming pool with a bar, the place is not so far from the center 15mn walking and is calm, there is a lot of things around. Try atrium burgers are incredible. There is a service for laundry

At the windows it is missing nets against the mosquitos, a fridge in the room would have been great. The swimming pool could be better washed as we can see some dirt on the wall that also make the floor slippery

Excellent hostel. Fantastic pool. Breakfast was a lot better than I was expecting. Air-con in dorm was EXCELLENT. Bynks had privacy. Hot showers. Wifi good. Definitely would stay again.

When people enter the hostel drunk, you hear everything quite well. Pool has some sharp edges, so be a bit careful where you walk.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was perfect for exploring the city, and the swimmingpool was really nice. They organise activiteis troughout the week. Highly recommended!

Great location in a quiet, mostly local neighborhood. The pool was lovely to have on those HOT Cartagena days and it was even one block away from a local grocery store. It was also a 20 minute walk to Gethsemane (which I'm glad we didn't stay in because it was so loud and touristy). Overall, this place was a solid choice.

For people with kids, be warned that about 2/3s of the pool was VERY deep (over 6 ft)! Also, while some of the staff were lovely, some didn't seem to like their jobs very much and were a bit grumpy at times.

Aircon was above the upper bunk. Too cold at night. Need to provide for those bunks close to aircon another blanket. Tricky to climb up/down to/from upper bunk. No support on the right side to hold on, only on the left. Quite dangerous. Nearly fell when trying to get up Would be good to have a mop/cloth in bathroom as some guests didn’t take care and the floor was wet

Amazing pool! We could have spent all day in there. The staff are lovely, especially the guys on the bar. There are currently two little kittens living there too and they are always around the hostel wanting to play. It was just really chilled and a lovely place to be.

It was just a little bit far out, fine in the day but abit dodgy at night so I’d recommend Uber but on a busy Friday night we had to wait ages for one to accept us and then arrive from the main tourist neighbourhoods.

Comfortable stay for one night between hostels. We arrived late but the receptionist was very accommodating and helpful.

I never give bad reviews but I don’t want what happened to me at this hostel to happen to anyone else. On the first day, I cut my foot very badly on a broken tile in the swimming pool. The cut was incredibly deep and there was blood everywhere. The staff all stood around looking very concerned but didn’t offer to call me a doctor or recommend one for me. They fixed the broken tile immediately - a clear admission of guilt. I got the bleeding under control and wrapped it myself. But when I was walking in town the next day it began to bleed and cause me a lot of pain. I went to a doctor immediately who cleaned the wound and removed a lot of skin. I also would’ve had to have a tetanus jab if my vaccinations weren’t already up to date. The doctor said I must demand this medical treatment be covered by the hostel as the injury was completely down to their negligence. When I talked to staff, they refused to compensate me at all, saying that the bill was too high and I should have asked them which hospital to go to - not exactly my first thought when I started bleeding in the middle of town! They wouldn’t even compromise and cover the excess that I will have to pay to my insurance company. So I am out of pocket! This was such a small price to pay for such a big hostel and I am incredibly disappointed that they refused to cooperate on an issue that was entirely their fault. It’s not so much the price of the bill for me, but the principal of the matter. This has had huge repercussions on the rest of my trip. 5 days later, I can’t walk properly, I am not allowed to swim anywhere and I have had to cancel my trek to Ciudad Perdida, something I was really excited to do. I explained all of this to them and they just didn’t care. Do better by your customers Casa Del Puerto! A complete side note but it was also very noisy if your room was right by the pool. The staff would begin blending things in the food processor and cleaning cutlery at 6am so we never got to enjoy a lie in.
