great location with view of the dolomites. excellent swimming pool in the basement. located outside the hustle and bustle of Ortisei. quaint location.

The breakfast was very poor . I expected that in italy to find a variety of chees , olives… or at least some tomatoes or pickels or any sallad. Instead I found only one type of cheese , salami and speck every morning, nothing else. If you wanted something else you could order omellette , the same omellette every day . Same poor breakfast every day (I stayed 7 days)

Big room. Bed was comfortable. Nice balcony. Dinner was really good. Silent spa room was relaxing
Dated hotel. Sat in dark empty room for dinner and breakfast (even though it was empty when we arrived and left). Staff was professional but not warm and friendly. Not to say anyone was outright rude, but didn’t get the warm fuzzy feeling expected from an expensive hotel.

Overall the stay was fine. The food was great. You could choose from variety of meals for the dinner. The location was nice since you can see the mountains right from your window. The room was clean and spacious.
It was very cold in our room at night. When we asked the owner if they could turn on the heating, they said that its not possible. Its unacceptable in a 4star hotel.

The food was truly exceptional. The Salad buffet was varied and delicious. The menu varied each day and never failed to please us. The presentation was excellent as was the service. We signed up for half-board and are very happy with that decision. It was exceptional food and amazing value for what we paid. We came expecting good food in South Tirol, but the food at the Ansitz Jakoberhop exceeded our expectations. We also came with our dog...a mini wire hair dachshund who accompanies us whenever we travel. He was welcomed at the hotel but not in the dining room. Their solution was gracious and turned out to be a special treat for me and my wife. They had us eat by ourselves in a very cute Stubli. So got to have a few days of romantic dining by ourselves, accompanied by our little pup. It was a wonderful solution and we thank the family running the Ansitz Jakoberhof for handling our issue so graciously.

The Hotel has an incredible, breathtaking view and a beautiful exterior. Just a short drive from the center of town. The decor is charming if a little dated. Very clean and welcoming. The staff is wonderful, family owned and operated. Breakfast was delicious with a solid selection.

This place almost ruined our honeymoon. I recommend staying at another hotel with better access to town.
This is a very basic place. There are no concession machines for water or food. The towels they gave us were old and worn. For the luxury hotel price, you should be getting more. We also found that this hotel was far from town. The hotel is on a long and curvy mountain road. It is too difficult and dangerous to walk up and down it to get access to the town. There is not a sidewalk. We did not see anyone walking during our stay. Finally, the owner, Markus, was so rude to us. We stayed two nights and were moved to a new room for our second night. We were told to come back later in the day to pick up our new room key card. We came back at 23:30 night to find the hotel completely closed. This was our fault for not coming back sooner but when we called the hotel telephone number, the owner hung up on us. We kept calling and he kept hanging up on us. We didn't know what to do because we had already paid and they had our bags. After an hour of sitting in our car, we called another hotel owned by the Piccolruaz family. They were eventually able aarnage to have to door opened for us at the Jackoberhof and we got to our room. In the morning, the same guy, Markus, got angry and yelled at my wife for asking for a discount. His behaviour was completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I liked everything about this property. A wonderful stay. Dinner was available for guests at a deeply discounted rate and was worth it! Delicious, included breakfast was also very appreciated. Wonderful facility!
