Location, easy parking, key access

-Bathroom Door swollen and wouldn’t close -Toilet cistern constantly dripping needs fixing -Carpet grip on stairs sharp and caused injury - cut the back of my foot

Hosts very promt with replies. Great to have onsite parking. Brilliant location, walking distance to all restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and lake. Nice room furniture. Secure house and room entrance. Some lovely original features in the room and building. I would return and I would recommend.

As we had a room with a terrace it would be nice to have a table/chair set out there. Only one lounger available. The small garden area off the terrace needs a little tlc. We were unable to use the wifi. A net curtain on the large bay window would be good for privacy so you have option to leave the curtains open as our room was near the entrance with buildings opposite. Our room could do with some of the painted areas touching up and the carpet refitted as it looked a bit untidy. That being said it didn't effect our stay.

No staff on site, coffee wasn't topped up from previous guests, bathroom wasn't clean, cracked sink, the bed was uncomfortable

It said it was 4 stars but we were not sure how they got that rating

The only time we rung and spoke to any staff, the lady was very offhand with us. It was not very clean and the room (no.6) was in dire need of decoration

no staff..no breakfast …no connection left with cold feeling…we paid extra for court yard..two unusable sun lounges (no cushions for lounges) could have done with assessable table and chairs… toilet very noisy we flushed poor drainage for shower and sink.. … no staff available (first time we have tried self check in …………not for us) we can get same price with breakfast in same location..

the location is perfect for all the local amenities. Short walk to the shops bars and restaurants Rooms were tidy and a good selection of tea and coffee with biscuits

The beds were not very comfortable unfortunately one day was cold and the room became cold also out of our second room we could see alot of builders rubbish

shower drain blocked / smelly sent message to the property about drain issue but it was ignored terrace was not very clean - decking, fence panels, sun beds dirty

There were some noisy guests and quite a bit of street noise throughout the night

it was a lovely house and had everything needed and a good area

there’s no reception you ring to check which was not really explain would have been nice to know. housekeeper helped us in as we rang to check in but was waiting 10 mins which is not ideal.

The location was perfect especially with parking too. We had a wonderful overnight stay. Lovely and clean and perfect size for 2. Felt very private having our own entrance too as we stayed in the Coach Suite. The complimentary minibar was a lovely touch.

It would have be nice to have bath robes especially as there is the jacuzzi bath and wet room which are fabulous.

Lovely room which had everything you'd need. Very clean. The location is excellent literally a 5 minute walk to all the shops/cafes/restaurants and not even a 10 minute walk from lake windermere. The staff we so nice and happy to help with anything we needed.

it seemed like it could have done with a lick of paint , even though it’s an old building a little paint would have made it excellent

we stayed in room 7 which was massive! great location for central bowness also!
