The staff and restaurant/bar was super friendly and accommodating. The views from the hotel's pools and rooms were beautiful! I met a retired (pensioned) government official who lives in the hotel and was a friendly and charming man. One day he introduced me to the owner of the hotel, and invited me to join them at a table in the restaurant for drinks. The owner was another delightful and welcoming person. At the table was the General Manager of the hotel; a beautiful, young woman with long, beautiful hair down to the small of her back. When she pushed it off her shoulders, it was like cascades of silk! What friendly, welcoming, charming people. I loved ❤️ my stay at the Regatta in Cartagena!

The beach--public and not owned or controlled by the hotel--is full of hawkers and peddlers of all kinds. There are dozens and more of them! You only have 15--30 seconds of peace before another one comes around. I ONLY found peace and relaxation iun one of the hotel's two pools! The hawkers and vendors are pushy, aggressive and will swindle you if you're not careful. I speak Spanish; it's my "mater lingua" and first language, so I was able to listen and see how they worked in twos or threes. I play one who doesn't understand, and I'll use a language other than Spanish or English that they don't know. I'd say, "Entschuligen Sie mein Herr (meine Dame), aber Ich kann nicht verstehen. Schade," or I'd use Hebrew or Arabic. They then didn't bother much, but passing by you and shouting their wares was supremely annoying. Also, be careful of the women who offer massages. DON'T let them even TOUCH YOU or they'll claim you jipped them. They come around and grab at your feet to give you a foot massage.

Value for price, rooms were spacious, free breakfast was offered. Front desk stored our luggage for a few hours before our flight home.

Facilities could be updated - paint, more modern, etc. The hallways/elevator are also extremely warm

Across from the beach, minutes away from Centro Historico, when amazing restaurants and awesome cafes and bars are located. Staff is incredible, welcoming and super friendly.

A bit outdated hence the awesome deals. No worries, it's clean, comfortable and everything works beautifully

The location was very close to restaurants and the Walled city.

The hotel rooms were not up to par. The rooms had a smell and bathroom issues. The beds were very uncomfortable.
