breakfast
When I first got to the hotel they put me in a room with no balcony . I had to fight to get reassigned to a room with balcony as they said I only had a standard room. I pointed out that my papers said King size bed with balcony,

location was great
buffet food was always cold and not a huge variety. Should of been explained to us that there was a snack bar, restaurant. And that the restaurant you had to reserve a spot. Stand in a line up for 30 minutes. Nothing was explained to us.

Too many children.
Way too noisy. Disco thumping, noisy neighbors and slamming doors throughout the nights.

not too much .... this is a very old hotel very run down and nothing like the pictures
Booked this room at the last minute on Booking.com and used my card to protect the reservation and special last room rate of CND 181.00 .,, when we got to the hotel it was tired ... also as must as us ... they had no reservation an charged us twice the rate.

The ocean view and pool were both amazing.
It is popular for high school student graduation parties. For two nights, a large group of students were on the beach in front of our room playing music and celebrating until dawn.

Cant go too far wrong in PV. The weather and beach always great. Las Palmas has decent healthy food.
Four umbrellas on beach each day and all chairs taken up by large families. Staff visibly put out as we Had to cajole them to bring us a beach chair and umbrella everyday. Screaming kids by morning and screaming drunk youth by the afternoons. Huge drunken fight broke out on the beach in middle of afternoon by overserved youth as the bartenders cheered them on. Poolside massages ruined by loud drunk yelling nonstop despite staff trying to quiet them. “Concierge” (11-2PM when it wasn’t her day off on a FRI) was curt and dismissive when we tried to book a special dinner. We just went out to eat for dinner and had a great time. Used the resort as a base.

bartenders were very nice. it was great to have an adult pool, kid pool and activities during the evening.
the buffet lunch and dinner looked like the food had been sitting out a while. I expected a Mexican food buffet being in Mexico but it was more Americanized than I hoped.

It's right by the beach, security staff all day and night and they have good bar drinks.
First issue : Lets start by arriving to the hotel the parking is very small. During the check in the guy told me they had not received my reservation and that they were having issues with the "booking" company where reservations were made but would not go thru to them even though I had a reservation code from booking, after going back and forth we found out the reservation went thru but under my mother's name (my mistake) . The guy literally told me it would of been cheaper to do it directly thru Palmas then thru booking.Second issue booking charged me $1200 two rooms for 3 adults and 2 kids my oldest being 17 this is for 3 nights all inclusive, ok not bad BUT the check in guy was charging me 300 dollars more because booking didn't not charge my 17 year old as an adult but as a Junior rate and she should of been charged as an adult according to Palmas instead of 1200 it went up to 1600 I was very upset and I told the guy booking allowed me to choose the ages of my kids and an adult is 18 and older. He told me I had to call booking directly and asked them to call Palmas to see if Palmas would accept the rate of course this is around 11pm after a 5 hour drive with sleepy kids and all very tired this /only upset me more. I asked if he had a manager who I could talk to because I didn't think it was fair I had to pay an extra 300 dollars when booking charged me for 3 adults 2 kids and 2 rooms. He then proceeded to tell me that if it was okay with me he could talk to his manager in the morning and if there was an issue he could let me know in the morning I had not much of a choice being so late and I knew all the surrounding hotels would not have any available rooms.Second issue:The rooms are very old and need an upgrade nothing like the pictures they show on the ad.This are old rooms ,bedding is old they only have the sheets and a very thin blanket.

Breakfast and lunch buffet was decent. Most of the staff were great! Martin the bellhop and Daniel in the bar were absolutely amazing! By far the two best employees at the resort.
Dinner buffet was absolutely horrible! I wouldn’t feed half of the food there to a dog. lack of dining options, small adult pool with no swim up bar, beds were very very uncomfortable, bar staff was amazing but pretty limited on alcohol and the drinks they could make, dated rooms and really bad Wi-Fi. No fridge or microwave in rooms.

The food looked good but almost everything thing we tried had an issue. The soup was cold the pasta was almost raw, they used the same soup for pasta sauce, fruit was frozen to the plate, and on and on.
Nothing was seriously bad but everything could have been better.

I liked breakfast, There was a good variety of breakfast foods. The soups were very good, as was the taco bar, and the deserts were better than the last time I stayed at this resort.
I didn't like the long, again Long line up at the omelette station, which was also doing pancakes, and only had one person working at it. I stood in line for 30 minutes waiting for pancakes.
The dinners were very boring. They consisted of a lot of what appear to be left overs from the night before made up to look different. A lot of pork.

Poor wifi, food was not good, staff checking wristbands like crazy, no entertainment for adult pool

The location is excellent. We loved the sea front. We had a junior suite. It was spacious with a large balcony. Philip at the front door was excellent in offering services related to taxi’ s and information, as were the front office staff, and the woman at the information desk. Guadeloupe was an excellent waiter.
We have stayed at this property on numerous previous occasions. On this last visit we were disappointed with how it had deteriorated in so many ways. The food quality and options were inferior as was the liquor. The main dining room and bar were under construction- which was a shock seeing as how this was over the Christmas and New Years weeks, and the costs for those weeks were increased. One would have thought that during those weeks the hotel would show its best, not it’s inferior side. I came up to my room one day to find the door wide open and painters inside my room painting the balcony. I had this booking for quite some time, it would seem they had time other than the 10 days we occupied the room to do the painting.
In summary, I have on numerous occasions recommended this hotel. I will no longer do so, nor will I book here again.
