The room we were in was VERY clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bedding was also nice.
There was very good air conditioning, a very clean fridge that worked well, a spacious table to put luggage and bags on, as well as two bedside tables with lamps and a very spacious closet and bathroom counter space.
The shower pressure was good (hot and cold water).
Overall this is a well maintained property that I'd visit again.
There was plenty of parking at the hotel.
The coffee/tea maker with mugs was a nice touch, though we didn't bring any coffee or tea with us to make use of it.
The hammock outside of our room was spacious enough for two (and securely hung).
The pool outside was well maintained with plenty of options for chairs and lounge chairs, and an outdoor shower.
Wolf, the owner, was very helpful in recommending local places to eat, which was appreciated.
The hotel is very close to the main town of Montezuma, about 800 meters away. There are plenty of places to park in town.
IMPORTANT: The hotel is situated at the top of a very steep hill, I wouldn't feel comfortable walking into the main town of Montezuma from the hotel because of the way that vehicles and ATVs speed up and down the hill. Plus the hill is so steep it would take the enjoyment out of the outing. The roads are narrow and there aren't any sidewalks. It would be dangerous to walk at night on the roads because of the lack of sidewalks. Otherwise, the hotel is a perfect distance from town if you have a car or ATV.

so nice that the buildings are separate but close. the pool was amazing. the staff were lovely everything worked and was very clean.
the only downside is the hill (not the owners fault!) but they told us as soon as we arrived how to find a taxi for the way back which was very cheap.

Both breakfast. It was quiet.
Too many insects in the room. There were bugs everywhere! The bathroom was dirty, especially the shower. The lighting was poor. No internet service. The sink nozzle popped off when I turned on the water and made a mess. I had to reattach it. Terrible stay.

Wolf is an interesting and fun guy to talk to. He has some interesting perspectives and insights after living in the area for more than 20 years as an expat. The pool is quite lovely and the view of the moon and stars at night is lovely. I originally booked three nights but the hostel that was fully booked called and said they had a cancellation and could get me in a night early. Wolf was really chill and understood that I wanted to save some money and was really nice about me leaving a day earlier.
It’s a bit outside of town and quite a hike up a strap hill from town. If you don’t have a car and don’t feel comfortable hitchhiking, you may want to consider something else. Although Wolf is really nice he doesn’t have much information to share as far as buses or things to do in the area. It’s not really a social place as I only ever saw maybe four or five people in passing during my stay. During my stay it seemed like more of place for couples that use it as a place to rest their heads. I think it’d be a nice quiet place for a couple to stay and get some private time together.

amazing cabins, quiet location and awesome pool. wolfgang was really helpful and even gave us a ride to the atm (cause there is no atm in town). every cabin has there own little patio where you can enjoy breakfast and start your day in a perfect way.
the road you have to walk up from montezuma is REALLY steap and there is no streetlights at all. we did it every night but its quite dangerous in some turns because people drive downhill really fast. the showers are could use a little work. but the beautiful garden and pool make up for everything :)

Spacious location, friendly and supportive owners. We could have our breakfast under a mango tree. Montezuma is a little nice town.
To go to Montezuma, you need a transport. The road is really steep and hiking is no fun here.
The road is next to the property, so it is very loud with all the cars passing by.
The property is quite old, and "ok" maintained but some paint or repairs here and there would be good to give some of its charm back.

Lovely property and room
3.5
The location, despite being on the main road into Montezuma, is great if you've got transportation -- car or 4-wheeler. The rooms are plain but functional, showers have hot water with great pressure.
The internet connectivity was pretty spotty across the property, and wasn't very fast either.
3.5
The room was spacious, and the swimming pool is nice.
The host was super nice and helpful, he provided us information about the area when asked.
It's quite far from the montezuma village, you will need a car 100%.
You can try to walk, but is quite steeped.
There was no breakfast option, but there is a good and affordable sodita in the village.

Staff is wonderful, location is great .
Lack of personal care items. Need to kill ants in room.

Staff was very helpful. Pool was great! Room was large.
There was soap, but no other toiletries. Had to go on an ant killing hunt whenever we returned to our room. Tropics are like that.
