The property was so clean, the staff were so helpful and polite. they would go the extra mile to make sure their customers are well taken care of. The food was also amazing, I will definitely be visiting this hotel again. I was very impressed

An attractive building in a quiet location of Accra. The staff stayed up late to welcome us and took good care of us when we arrived. Breakfast was vegetable omelette and toast - the best omelette I had in Ghana.

The hotel is a long way from the centre of Ghana. It said it was in Bortianor. This was incorrect. There are no accurate paper or digital (GPS) maps of Ghana, so the hotel was impossible to find by SatNav. The telephone number was incorrectly stated on Booking.com, though we eventually managed to find the correct number from another source. It took well over an hour, late at night, to get to the hotel from the airport. The water pressure in the shower was poor and the temperature was no more than lukewarm.

The staff are very friendly and will help out with any problems even ordering taxis and telling you how much it will cost in front of the taxi driver to stop them ripping you off.

The pool on the photo looks green because when we got there it was because its badly maintained they need it sorted. The room was never cleaned properly because it's the reception guys that clean it only when you leave the hotel.

The location of the hotel is great. it overlooks Accra and at night, the night lights provide an excellent view. The staff at reception were so helpful and kind. The pool was nice and clean and overall, it is a nice quiet location and the building is gated so there is the added security. The interior and exterior of the building is of high standards!

The staff are really amazing. We had an awful journey and lost our luggage. Derek accommodated us wen we arrived after midnight. Made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was served so nice and the morning staff prince and andrews, are very helpful and kind. We wished we could of stayed longer but were unable to due to family commitments.b

Every time I come to Accra, Hill View Hotel, McCarthy Hills, is my go-to stay! The staff are extremely welcoming, supportive, and friendly. In addition to the great staff and amazing room and food prices. The location is ideal! West Hill Mall is about 15 minutes from the hotel, Without traffic, The Accra mall is about 40minutes away. And if there isn't heavy traffic, it doesn't take long to reach some of the tourist sights [e.g. Black Star Square]. Lastly, the hotel is up on a hill and oversees the city. The noise from the city doesn't reach the place, thus it feels calm and serene. The view is also very beautiful! Especially at night.

I love that they use fresh ingredients, however as a result of this, certain meals take a long time to prepare. Our lunch was a bit delayed.

my room wasn't ready when we got there and when it was ready the next day, the bathroom smelled really bad. We also had no soap and only 2 towels even though the room was booked for 3 people

You have heard the expression "a hidden gem"? Well, Hill View Hotel McCarthy Hills is more than that. In a serene. silent location, overlooking a fantastic view, with great staff, very service-minded and kind, and with a fabulous lady chef in the kitchen, it is more of a hidden gem mine, I would say. If you want a lot for your money, this is the place. And don't get upset over the fact that it is an older hotel, with a few cracks here and there. Just allow yourself to find piece, take a swim in the very nice pool, or treat yourself to their fantastic grilled chicken with fried rice and vegetables! You will not regret spending time here, never!

Lovely hill view, serene, peaceful atmosphere. Staff were kind and helpful. The view especially from 2nd(3rd) floor is great.

The room was a bit shabby - needs improvement. The worst part was the shower. Water pressure was too low to take a proper shower, almost impossible. They accept card payment, but card machine never worked.

Check in was fast easy and pleasant Room was clean and good value for money Breakfast was delivered to the room and it was great.

The pool closed at 7pm too early.

The location is good, very good view from the top. The WiFi was very stable. Very quiet. The receptionist was welcoming and ready to help, check-in was very quick.

After a long journey, we were hungry and tired, we requested food( jollof and chicken) and it lasted for 2 hours 10 minutes. We were given many excuses so we didn't bother to order for dinner because..... The pool was dirty with no lifeguard on duty, we were told the guy comes to clean it twice a week. We requested a towel after swimming and I was given one to share with my partner. We went back to our room and requested mosquito repellant because there were too many mosquitoes and the receptionist told us to buy some near the hotel which we did by giving him money to buy some for us. A hotel with mosquitoes should be able to help their guest with repellant.
