It is certainly no longer the hotel it was. Something has been lost in image and uniqueness,there is a major inconsistency with the new B&B name which is normally a synonym for down market product and the pretentious four stars stamped on the hotel facade. I was initially presented with a room that looked more like to a hospital than to a hotel, (which I refused and opted for an old-style ground floor room having at least the mirror and the bed lights working (see photo of the first room) In my opinion it would have been more appropriate to try to retain the old winning formula that the new one as it seems to me not to have enough 'character'Certainly now for such a product no longer having a strong image of the Roy Soleil type it no longer seems adequate to expectations .Very pleasant staff , mineral water should be in clear container not a treatpak carton Breakfast …the hot buffet a little sad in appearance, therefore declined. Room ventilation not adequate despite controls worked . In March I had the same experience at Sant Avold sister hotel formally Roy Soleil.

Lovely hotel, modern and clean rooms, friendly and efficient staff.

Not convinced by the value for money, since the hotel is in an industrial zone far from everything on foot. The building is pretty much a spruced up motel.

The hotel was very well located in terms of the places we wanted to visit (Colmar, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Strasbourg) during a short 4 nights stay to experience the Christmas atmosphere of Alsace. The hotel itself has pleasant, helpful staff, though it would be of benefit for anyone visiting to know a few French phrases. It was clean, modern, room was well appointed, spacious, good sized and featured bathroom and separate WC, and fridge, coffee/ tea making facilities, safe, and plenty of wardrobe space. Breakfast facilities were very good, with plenty of variety of foods/ beverages on offer.

On the first day of our arrival, our room was double booked in error. We were given a key to what we thought was our room, and as we opened the door, there was already male guest in that room. We were glad he was fully clothed! He showed us his key (same as ours), and was very courteous. We returned to reception, we explained the situation and, at first, the receptionist couldn't believe the mistake, but did apologise and set about arranging another room for us - and checking first that it was empty before allocating to us. The stay was - in our opinion - horrendously expensive for what was offered and, on arrival, we had not immediately been clear that breakfast was not included in the price. In all it cost GBP 707.00 for 4 nights, incl. breakfast. As there were no other facilities on site (e.g. leisure, restaurant for evening meals, etc.), we did find this rather steep. However, we put these prices down to the proximity of our stay to the Christmas period. The parking area had a lot of snow and ice and we arrived at a time of extremely low temperatures (-5 degrees). It is my opinion some efforts to ensure the parking area was safe, should have been observed (e.g. salted/ gritted, or, ice/ snow scraped up somewhat)

The breakfast buffet was grate but I would like to have better bread.

Parking place and good location if you travel by car. The rooms, even though on the smaller side, were arranged efficiently.

Cramped space, and the fact that the triple room was a double squeezed into a triple.

the two single beds are really narrow!!! less than 4’ for sure. very unusual. also they had to switch rooms for us twice as only the third room had functioning AC. this whole process took about an hour so finding a place for dinner later became very hard. they refused to comp us breakfast for the next morning which definitely was not nice.
