Everything in Bernerhof is just wonderful : The kind employees , the lovely food in the restaurant, and the personal touch to everything ! Highly recomendable !

Location, dining, views, staff. This is a very nice, well maintained, traditional Swiss hotel. We would definitely return. Loved Kandersteg.

It's hot in August and the room gets very warm which makes it difficult to sleep ( no AC). Not much you can do about it.

The location

The breakfast is not fresh. I found hair on the towels in the bathroom.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was nice and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Lovely continental breakfast, and we also had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Staying for at least 3 nights meant that we also got a free return trip on each of the 3 cable cars near the village, which was a surprising bonus.

Exceptional hotel, lovely staff and owners go the extra mile. Upon arrival we were given free tickets for the cable car to Oeschinen Lake which was extremely kind. The food was tremendous, potentially the best meal I’ve had. We had to check out very early (5am) and the owners put out sandwiches and allowed access to their coffee machine before the kitchen was opened. Couldn’t have made out stay any better, would definitely come back to this hotel & wonderful village.

Wow! Kandersteg is the most beautiful, picturesque little village. The hotel was superb and had the traditional Alpine/Chalet theme. We arrived a few hours early and the very helpful lady at reception took our bags so that we could go out exploring. When we returned these had been taken up to our room already. The room was large and had a spectacular view of the mountains. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, and we especially loved the resident cat!

The only negative is that we only stayed one night!

Beautiful place, super friendly and helpful staff, lovely food. Being gluten intolerant, the staff was very attentive to my dietary restrictions and offered great alternatives.

Everything was good. We particularly appreciated the sitting room with teas, coffee and little cakes in the afternoon. Very clean, delicious food, cosy rooms. The staff were attentive and welcoming. We shall return. Thank you all.
