Las vistas
Deberían vender botanas, ya que para comer algo entre horarios de desayuno, comida y cena hay que salir. Las almohadas podrían mejorar

Fantastic location. Wonderful views. Just a walk to the adventure park. Room ready straight away ( in the morning). Clean

the view is amazing
everything closes really early, the restaurant, the bar and also the breakfast has short time

Wow this place is amazing. Absolutely stunning views right from your room and the bar and restaurant. 1 minute walk from the train station. I would stay here everytime I came.
The restaurant could use up to date dinner menus. Was never sure what they had or didn't each night.

The view from the hotel is outstanding. It's one of the only hotels right on the canyon edge. Plus it's just steps from the Divisadero station. I woke up for sunrise and saw the spectacular view from outside my room.
It is pricey as rooms are dated and old, and the dinner menus are also expensive.

the gorgeous canyon right out the door.
food at dinner wasn’t great.

The view is spectacular.
The water for bathing or washing was murky and the hotel couldn't manage to properly filter it. At $125 a night you figure they should provide better service. Also, very limited internet connection.

The views were world class
The water was brown - so did not shower for two days

Can't beat the views and location- breathtaking. Nice areas to sit to relax and look at the canyons.
Food was overpriced and not good, options were very limited. Room was overly expensive for what it is. Not updated, beds were uncomfortable and bathroom not clean. Terrace is nice but not very private. We were disappointed for how much we paid- would recommend people go elsewhere.

The location of the hotel is amazing and they offer little walking tours to show you nice views
It’s very old school that there is only a menu in lunch and dinner time and in between you can’t order any food and you can’t even choose dinner from 2 different menus. You either like it or you don’t eat…
Most of the personal (especially bartenders and waiters) are arrogant and don’t care what you want.

The spectacular views and proximity to the train.
This property is advertised as a luxury hotel. There is nothing luxurious about the rooms. Our beds were rock hard, the pillows ancient and the bedspreads made me shudder. The lights above the beds are bare lightbulbs.
The bathroom was terribly worn and dilapidated. The fixtures above the sink were broken or missing and the vanity was
cracked.
There was a very dirty worn rug between the beds and the furniture was in bad shape ; lost finish, missing knobs etc.
We could hear every footstep and noise from upstairs and a lot of noise from outside our room. The wooden bridge seemed to be held up with wire - it has a distinct lean to it.
It was a very disappointing stay.

location
price and staff did not overly go out of their way to be friendly. price for dinner was expensive especially if you didn’t want a 3 course meal.

This is a hotel with the best view of the Copper Canyon. They have rooms with terraces and amazing views and rooms with small windows, with no views at all. We had a room with no view, small and simple but we spent hours in the bar/restaurant with huge windows overlooking stunning Copper Canyon. Overall it's a very nice place with the best location for a view, a train station(opposite), hiking and Fun Adventure Park.

The location was truly amazing.
Most facilities like restaurant and bar were very limited. However this was due to limits due to Covid pandemic.

Canyon View is just wonderful. It was nice to have a fireplace at the bar as it was cold.
Barman was very nice and help us finding a car to go back to Creel.
Basic bedroom, no plug. Quite cold in the bedroom.

The view over the canyon from the bar and the bedroom balconies is absolutely unparalleled. Incredible to watch the sun rise and set from there. Also it is stumbling distance from the El Chepe train station, which makes it really convenient for travel arrangements. The bar and lobby area are pleasant, and there are lovely market stalls right outside selling artisanal products during the day. The beds are comfortable, and the shower is good and hot. Also we were greeted by a hilarious and adorable stray dog upon arrival, who was the highlight of our stay!
The breakfast we had on our first morning was pretty terrible and relatively expensive, so for the rest of the trip we ate elsewhere. The next hotel along the canyon rim had exceptional food (given the restraints placed upon the kitchen by the location - sourcing fresh veg etc is difficult), and when we return to El Divisadero we will stay there instead.
Service was inconsistent. The staff were very polite when spoken to, but were often difficult to find - we sat at the bar for an hour before someone came to serve us one night, had to switch the lights on ourselves, and then had to ask for the fire to be lit as it was completely freezing! I understand that it was a quiet time in the hotel, but compared with other places we have stayed recently (which were equally quiet) the level of service and care taken seemed low. The bar had literally only two bottles of wine - one white, one red - to offer. I don’t mean two types, I mean two actual bottles. Compared with the warmth and variety on offer at the next hotel along this was very disappointing. It seems like the owners know they’ve already got a hotel in a great location and are content to rest on their laurels rather than try and offer guests a truly exceptional stay.
Other niggles:
There was no hairdryer in the room - when the temperature is -2 at night I would expect not to have to sit with wet hair in a hotel that charges as much as this one does.
The heater in the room is pretty outmoded and makes crazy banging noises during the night as the metal expands and contracts. However you do need to have it on continuously as the door to the room fits so badly that you can literally see the gaps, and feel the cold air rushing in. On the plus side it does mean that the stray dog who slept outside our door presumably got some blasts of warm air going the other way.
With a little more effort this hotel could offer an outstanding experience - as it is, we were left wishing we’d stayed elsewhere.
