For $25/night was the perfect spot for us! After paying $150 to stay at another hotel for one night, I would much rather stay here. Friendly owner, short walk to many great bars, restaurants and shops. Nice hidden rooftop restaurant next door. We will stay here again when we return in a few months!

Unfortunately there is a bar/nightclub next door, so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep before 3 am.

The hostal is actually a hotel that has a shared kitchen. The bedroom tv works and the rooms are hot as hell. There are a lot of mosquitoes and the clerk didn't know we had made a reservation and he didn't even have any control over who made or didn't make reservations. As with everything in Cartagena, it's terrible, maybe this isn't such a bad option. The shower is cold and looks like a hose that cleans cars. The bathroom is super small. The kitchen is ok but during the day they use it for restaurant I think. The man who stays to open the door is super stressed.

The staff was really nice and helpful with all our necessities. The location is pretty good if you're traviling to inmerse in culture. You have a lot of food and fun options around the hostel. The price is really good for the city and the location.

We first rented a bedroom with just the ventilator because we usually don't use the AC in the night, but it was really really hot. The second day we talked with the staff and they were really kind changing our room for one with AC where we had a great time!

Kitchen was a little dirty. In the room sheets and bathroom were clean but the room as a whole only had a very basic superficial clean.

Great place in a buzzing part of town. Easy access, unlike many places the street door was not locked.

The owner was always there to help. Literally never left and was always there to assist with anything he could. They washed my clothes for me and made sure that the 50 cents in my pocket was returned. If I could rate higher than perfect I would. Thank you!

Good location, friendly staff

The room was very small, dirty, cracks in the wall, unconfortable bed, air conditioning not working, shower was a hose out of the wall.

Very noisy because of the bar under the room, until 3:00. The shower was only a tube with no choise of the water heat. I heard the first night my neighbours having sex when the bar closed.
