i liked our private balcony with a most astounding view.

the water shut off between 11pm and sometime early in the morning but were not warned. I was caught mid shower. Not okay.

We were VERY disappointed to find our rental car locked behind closed doors with no response from the property owners until after we grabbed a taxi.

Everything was exceptional. The staff, food and view were amazing! We will be back next year

Good Breakfast. Location requires a cab ride to town, but the view makes it worth it.

Location great, room size and furnishings where quaint, and adequate ( if you expecting luxurious you may have to take a step down)the view was spectacular, and I would stay again

The size of the room was a little small for the price.

The views were exceptional.

The hotel obviously lives off the exceptional view but the staffing levels leave a lot to be desired. For example, the restaurant in the morning runs with just 2 staff (a chef and waitress) who are clearly struggling to keep up with the volume of guests coming in for breakfast. There are long waits for the coffee urn to be replenished. There waitress who never complains is clearly working under a lot of pressure and is rushed off her feet. My wife and I felt so sorry for the staff of the hotel and have absolutely no complaints about them as they always had a smile on their faces. We were also taken aback when we arrived at the hotel to find that there was no one to assist us with our luggage especially with the number of stairs, which can be quite treacherous as you make your way up and down then with luggage. I could go on but will stop here because I think those reading this will get the gist!!

Gorgeous view. The room was spacious.

Not easy to get to. Food was not great. No one at front desk when we needed to check out. Floor in room looked unclean. Husband has mobility issues and the place is very hard to navigate due to stairs all over the place.

Location and price

Room felt like a prison cell. All white..you could see hair in the paint..bed smashed against the wall .. very small. Had to squeeze into the door to get into bathroom. Door wouldn't open all the way. No place for luggage. Good for one person.

We are very happy, having a car on the island, but I believe they’re going to be some issues going forward with parking for the hotel restaurant.

The view is amazing! The restaurant serves wonderful drinks and food is very good. Breakfast is included which is cooked to order and it was excellent. The pool is small but nice. The bed was very comfortable.

The room needed some attention such as a new curtain rod and working safe. Management does seem invested in updating the facility, currently they are working on the pool deck.

Mafloie Hotel is a beautiful hotel. Very romantic, great views. We had 3 rooms. Tho 2 of the rooms were small you really do not spend a lot of time in the room. The Air Conditioning is perfect. Hot water great, Bathroom spacious. The pool was beautiful (even tho there was construction nearby). Excellent views, great place for hanging out, chatting, beveraging. The onsite restaurant is a plus and served excellent food choices.

The traveler must be aware. The Mafolie Hotel is NOT within walking distance to activities and other restaurants--the narrow and steep roads make walking not an option. So every time you leave/return to the property you are paying for a taxi. Depending on your group this can be costly. In general a taxi ride is $15 per person. (No uber/lift on the island). The floors in the rooms are pretty dirty. The bathrooms are very clean. The service in the hotel restaurant is quite slow, so you simply can not be in a hurry. For example, time to sitting down to 1st beverage (even water) is more than 45 minutes. THE FOOD IS TASTY.

The included breakfast was a bonus. Elizabeth, who is the assistant general manager was very helpful especially with items that we may have forgotten at home. She was always present on the property to answer and questions that we may have had about taxis, ferries etc. We would stay there again and certainly recommend our friends in doing the same.

Awesome breakfast. Awesome view. My little room was comfortable.I liked the cats hanging around.

Like everything on the island, very expensive. A little hard to get to, at the top of a big hill. Have to take a taxi to and from.
