Location is perfect as a home base to drive from Snæfellsnes through the golden circle down to the glacier. Very spacious for 6 people, the house offers that sense of place you want to have visiting Iceland.

Link with google directions provided by the property prior to our arrival was completely wrong. It took us over an hour of getting lost using our roaming data to reach out to the owner and find ourselves. Not cool with exhausted kids at 11pm. Luckily owner was reachable and helped us out. Kitchenware is not in great shape, kitchen cabinets haven’t been properly cleaned for a while. Most of wardrobe shelves have been taken by personal effects of the owners which limited space to organize our clothes. Any kind of shutters would be nice to have since we had light most of the night. Overall we had a great time and would return to the house next time in Iceland.

,This house had everything we needed. From ketchup, olive oil, herbs to shampoo and body wash (although we had packed our own). There were loads of towels for our party of 6. It really was a home from home.The beds were very comfy. The scenery was beautiful and the location was ideal for us, everything we wanted to see was within an hours drive (Thingvellir, the geyser, secret lagoon a short drive away) but remote enough that you're away from the hustle and bustle. The house was very clean also.

Location, Fully equiped, Well furnished, Well decor, Clean and hygiene, amazing communication with host at every question we had.

There wasn't anything that we didnt like.

Stunning location with gorgeous hot tub, sauna, and comfortable beds. Magic sky at night and close to the best of the golden circle.

Great and spacious house with magnificent views on Mt. Hekla and the surrounding. Very well situated for Tours to Golden Circle and the South Coast. The river is worth a small hike (5 minutes from the house by foot)

The property was modern, clean, warm, cosy, secluded. Located near the sights on the golden circle. Remote enough to see the northern lights from the house.
