The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient. The food at the cafe was good and the service there was good. The room was clean and I loved the shades that covered the windows. It was good for sleeping one night.

The ac was noisy. I like having a small frig and microwave and coffee pot but the room had none. I paid $194 for a room, I don't think the room was worth that price. I would've been happy with paying $100.

Coming back at night it’s very dark , not many street light, sink faucet didn’t work, so we had to wash our faces under the shower

Top location, close to airport and Walmart. Motel has a restaurant with great coffee, value for money breakfast ( huge variety) and most importantly it is the place where locals eat, which is always a good sign. Charlie, the Vietnam war veteran, who lives in the motel ads extra charm to the place. He has great stories and loves to have a chat.

It would have been wonderful if the room had a fridge.

First and foremost, the breakfast is fantastic. This is clearly a well-known local spot. There was a long line of tourists and locals alike in the morning, and wow, the food is delicious - quick too! Try the Grand Slam or Oxtail Soup if they have it that day. Anyways, Tip Top Motel is located in a Tip Top area in Lihue. It’s very close to the main highway, which is quite convenient. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The price is just right too, considering how expensive other lodging options across the island.

It’d be nice if the rooms had a fridge and microwave. That’s my only suggestion.
