I liked it all!

The rain.

My family needed a place to stay near the airport for one night prior to checking into a rental house for the week. Kauai Palms is an old-Hawaii style hotel that is located very conveniently. The kitchenette allowed us to fix some food and try to get on island time. They offer the BEST coffee in the morning!! We enjoyed sitting outside our rooms and even got to know the neighbors.

Parking lot is small but they did warn about that.

Ronald ist ein fantastischer Geschichtenerzähler über dieKultur der Hawaiianer , man kann im Hotel auch Bildmaterial und alte Werkzeuge nachgebauter hawaiianischer Urbevölkerung anschauen, einfach fragen , er hilft sehr gerne. Das Hotel liegt in der mitte der Küste und ist gut geeignet um Ausflüge in den Canyon zu machen .Hatte eine sehr schöne Zeit komme gerne wieder , vielen dank Ronald liebe Grüsse petra swiss

We only chose this place because the price was reasonable for the island and it was in the middle on the east side and accessible to everything we wanted to see on the island. We stayed 4 nights

The room was tiny, with a small kitchenette and tiny bathroom. The walls were very thin, and first impression wasn't great

We stayed in a cottage and it worked very well for the 3 of us with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. It is 5 minutes from the airport and a 3 minute walk to a wonderful brew pub. Nice old school decor as well.

The neighborhood feels a bit dicey and it’s not a “resort “. By any sense of the word.

It's a charming motel. The AC was a window unit. I had a pleasant night's rest. Keep in mind. all over Kauai, even at 5 star hotels, you will hear roosters crow in the morning and before sunset. Don't like it, go somewhere else.

Suggestion: a hook to hang clothes in Cottage G in the bathroom when taking a shower, on wall or behind door, wall is better since a quick look before final checkout is easy for anything left behind versus a hidden item behind the door.

Staff shared the local history of the people and culture and had displays. It was like a museum.

Close to airport

Small, cramped room with no place to place suitcase. Noisy neighborhood.

The unique layout, a queen and two twins, was nice. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. It is difficult to pick specific items as the whole experience was good.

Close location to the airport and to nearby eateries and stores.

Provide better description of the room online with pictures. I wasnt exactly sure of my selection, but pleasantly happy to receive such a great room when I got there.

Location was walking distance from restaurants. Refrigerator was handy.

The area of the hotel rm we were in (#29) was unprotected (no covered pathway) and gravel made it difficult to transport our wheeled luggage. Location near graveled driveway made traffic in an out of the hotel disturbing in the early morning hours (before 7am). The water in the shower was luke warm.

The staff were very friendly and the outside sitting area on the ground floor was convenient for meeting other guests and conversing. Walking distance to bars and restaurants and parking was easy.

Room was small and the nightstand was a shelf in the corner. There was space to slide the bed toward the door and balance the room/nightstand better.

We have stayed here before so our expectations were low. The room was small, but clean and the beds comfortable.

The wall air conditioner was noisy and going on and off all night long.

The staff was friendly.

I feel sad for having to leave this negative review because the staff is very friendly, but I've never been to hotel that was this dirty. It was apparent from the beginning that they didn't clean or maintain the room well. Stains on night stand, dirt stains on bedsheet, dead bugs in picture frame, During the night, I killed 6 roaches in bathroom and bedroom trying to protect my family. It's Hawaii, so roaches are common even at "very nice" accommodations, but this filth was a whole new level. Sleep with the lights on!

The check in process after hours was very smooth ising the lock box system. The location is perfect for a quick sleep and breakfast before taking off on island adventires elsewhwre.

The rooms are very small, although it is understandable. It would be nice if coffee was available earlier for those of us that wake up early.

Facility has been updated since last stay. Mattress pads added, very comfortable sleep. Outdoor seating added, nice touch.

Room was clean and air-conditioned. King size bed.

Room small . Bathroom small. No coffee maker in the room. Only coffee from 8 am to 11 am. Too late for me.

One of their employees was finishing work and gave us a ride to the airport to pick up a hire car. She was so lovely to do that and went out of her way. She had worked there for over 12 years. What terrific staff to have at the property.

Liebevoll gestaltete und gepflegte Anlage. Historische Hawaiianische Werkzeuge werden ausgestellt. Sehr informativ für geschichtlich Interessierte. Vormittags gibt es kostenlosen Kaffee.

Nahezu kein WLAN im Zimmer. Sehr hellhörige Zimmer, die winzig klein sind. Kein Tisch an dem man essen könnte. Kein Besteck oder Geschirr vorhanden.
