the only good thing about this hotel is the friendly staff (except one man in the bar that is not too friendly when we ask questions)
most of the staff were very professional.

THE NOISE from 8pm to 2-3AM!!!!
it was almost impossible to sleep….. because of the Carnival the music were so loud.
I’m unfortunately not recommending this hotel due to the noise.

The loud music playing across the street stopped at 3am. It's not ideal for tired travelers

this is Novotel at its best and in style. The upgraded bay view room was immaculate. there is a stylishness about top tier hotels and Novotel Halong Bay is no exception.
It would be hard to fault but the bar fridge failed. a repairman was there in minutes to remove and replace.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping answered our every request from extra pillows to extra towels.
The noise!! Unfortuantely, there are two Electronic Dance Clubs about six blocks away and their speakers are aimed directly at the hotels in the area and can be heard within a three-mile radius. The thumping bass line actually shook my insides at times. The music starts at 5pm and is relentless until midnight or even 2am. We couldn't even enjoy a romantic cocktail by the pool in the evenings. Apparently the city of Ha Long Bay is rebranding itself as "The City that Never Sleeps". Mission accomplished; I hope it works out for them.

I don’t usually right reviews but I just wanted to thank everyone at the hotel
Especially (Thun ) who went out of her way to help me
All the staff was pleasant and spoke good English (which was nice)

swimming pool and the poolside bar is a nice place to chill out at night after going around Halong city and playing in Sunworld. The location is very good, near to the beach.

Very professional and kind staffs, they offer my family the cute little cake for my daughter's birthday. We highly appreciate that. Great swimming pool which we love the most. The breakfast is ok. The ocean view and the balcony in my room are marvelous. I like the bath tub as well, amazing. Super hotel
