The location is great, staff was friendly and accommodating to me. Private room with a great air conditioner kept the room cool and dry. Lots of great shops and delicious cheap eats open late nearby.

Water heater seemed broken? I reported it but it didn’t get fixed.

Good location, close to a lot of restaurants especially middle eastern, indian and persian cuisines. Very close to bus stops and the MTR station is not too far away. There is also a shopping center close by.

The rooms we stayed in had a very pungent smell. Seems like stagnant sewage water. We asked to be relocated but the management refuse. We also had to pay for laundry of the comforter because they claimed that it was unwashable stain. But if unwashable how come they charge us laundry fee?? haha. We offered to clean it up ourselves but they refused also. All through out our stay they kept asking for the payment for the laundry.... literally everytime we pass by the reception, they ask for the laundry payment. The rooms have no windows. Its actually an old hotel that is refurnished under new management, so maybe we cant blame why the quality of service and facilities is such...

We didnt like the WIFI connection bec no wifi at all in the room.

The room was small, dark, dirty and smelly. The aircon did not work well and the internet was really bad. The curtains looked like they hadnt been washed in years and clouds of dust flew from it if you try to move it.

Aliwal Park Hotel is a budget hotel and as such it met all my expectations.... It is the second time I have stayed at the hotel and happy to stay again if necessary. Walking distance to 2 MRT stations and good food options...

The only fault I find is the quality of the door closures and locks ... they could be updated with more secure locks
