The property is a beautiful house, a little bit south of Akureyri (about a 10 Minute drive) , and it was one of the best homestays I have been in! The hosts are very nice. There are 3-4 guest rooms but each room is soundproofed and we also got lucky with respectful guests. We slept very well. Beds were comfortable, and they had provided an extra pillow per person as well. The bathroom was shared but it was luxurious! Breakfast was quite sumptuous with some excellent home baked bread and other baked goods, eggs, fruit … everything you might need to start your day. We had some trouble with our travel adapter but our host came to the rescue. Our hosts also kindly recommended an excellent and less known stop on our way to Egilsstadir. Oh, and the house comes with the cutest and most well-behaved dog, Chris! Lovely, lovely house and very nice people!

The house is in great shape, very good finishes and well taken care of. Very clean and comfortable.

We've done the whole tour of Iceland, and slept in several guest houses, but without doubts this was our best experience. The house is simply gorgeous and the room very comfortable. Not to mention the bathroom that was so spacious and very clean. The owner was also very nice and for a moment we felt part of an Icelandic family. Delicious breakfast, overall exceeded all our expectations.
Nothing, it was a really wonderful stay.

Fantastic location with amazing view. Lovely comfortable rooms with very nice living area and bathrooms. The hot tub with a view was also exactly what we needed after long days of hiking! A special mention to the wonderful hosts who were so helpful and hospitable!

Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Beautiful location, clean room & facilities, exactly like photos. We felt at home. They gave us ideas for activities and sightseeing. Rooms were well insulated from sound. Breakfast was delicious 😋 We would absolutely stay again!
The bathroom was large (two sinks) and very clean but awkward to share it with the hosts.

The breakfast was good and the place was clean.
When I returned from my trip, I found the property had double charged me. I contacted the property through Booking.com and they initially said they would fix the problem. They didn't, and they stopped responding to me about the issue. In my view, an owner who does this isn't different than a thief.

A beautiful, elegantly decorated artistic space that used to be the hosts' family home and was transformed to a Guesthouse after their children grew up and went away. Super cozy, clean, a living room area worth seeing, beautiful views around the house indeed, nice breakfast. I loved the embroidered bedsheet :-)

The hostess, Þóra, was very nice and willing to assist in any way possible. The room was really nice and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice.
There wasn't anything I didn't like about this accommodation.

Lovely hosts who do everything to make you really feel at home. They share their beautiful house and are up for a nice chat during breakfast. Couldnt be better - really exceptional quality!!
There is no problem due to CoVid-19 in Iceland - all good to go!

A warm welcome from the host in their beautiful home. Good breakfast. A great place to stay and enjoy the local area. Akureyri is a short drive away.
