The bed was so uncomfortable like in the middle of the night the bird was separating an hour legs was going between the beds but I must say the property was amazing

We weren’t made aware that dishclothes or tea towels aren’t provided at the property.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of Ambleside and minutes from shops and restaurants. Very comfortable and clean flat, perfect for a couple’s stay for a week. Very comfy bed!

A few small things need attention, eg cooker extractor fan not working. Would be good to have a bin in the bathroom and some bowls in the kitchen.

Location was great very central

I thought the bed and bedding weren’t that comfy. As a lone Walker this is quite important to me.

Right in the heart of Ambleside. Near to all amenities, Restaurants shops cafes bars. Lovely Little cottage. Lovely bedroom. Property very clean.

No parking had to pay £17.50 for 3 days at a near by carpark. Would be nice to have a parking permit to be able to park for free as we have had with previous accommodation we have stayed at in Ambleside. Could also do with a gas or electric fire as still cold even with heating on. Also would be nice to have a bathroom cabinet or shelves in the bathroom to put toiletries on.

I must admit I did worry slightly when I read some of the negative reviews that appeared between booking and arriving, but I was very impressed with the cottage. Yes, there are some things that could be done differently, but it had everything that we needed to enjoy our time in the lakes. Super central location, the trade of being it was a 2min walk to the car. Host was very friendly and helpful. Cottage was well equipped and clean.

There was nothing about the property we didn’t like, as a base for days out walking it was perfect. I do however think a welcome pack rather than the brief “personalised” check in and out instructions would be beneficial as we struggled to find the accommodation (although it’s really easy if your given the pointers of red garage door).

Well kept clean comfortable accommodation in a quiet street - a good location for all the amenities of Ambleside. 5 minute walk to pubs, restaurants and shops. Ideal for self catering. Good modern bathroom with a bath - great for fell walkers/climbers.

Using the nearby car park was OK as Ambleside wasn’t busy but might be a problem in high season. Lounge needs a coffee table and either a dimmer switch or a table lamp as overhead roof lights are very bright.
