Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit super Lage. Teure, gediegene Ausstattung.

Vermutlich funktioniert das eine oder andere nicht so gut aufgrund Personalmangels. Die Kaffeemaschine ist zu langsam und hat ständig ein Problem. Die Chefs wären gut beraten mal selbst Hand anzulegen und ihre fleißigen Leute zu unterstützen!

Leider war der Hasrföhn kaputt - ist leider nicht ausgetauscht worden.

Gorgeous setting, delicious breakfast, kind staff.

The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings in the middle of nature with fantastic views of the Alps. The hotel's furnishings are in keeping with the traditional Alpine style and the hotel is clean. Friendly staff. We also loved the sound of the bells in the nearby pilgrimage church every morning.

Please note: The hotel is absolutely not within walking distance of the city centre. It is difficult to get here without a car. Also, public transport connections are not possible. We were quite surprised that the hotel with such good ranking does not offer some of the basic toiletries (especially toothpaste) in the rooms (only soap). We also weren't too impressed with the food in the hotel restaurant, we found the food quite under-seasoned to be honest.

the walking paths and gardens attached to the property were fantastic. The wait staff was so sweet and kind. The rooms were very well taken care of. The shower was spacious and luxurious. Loved the view of the church and gardens from the room.

The TV didn’t work.

Probably one of the most special hotels we’ve ever stayed at—we ended up extending our stay just because it was that good! First off, the food: I don’t think there is a single not-spectacular dish on the menu! Dinner and sunset drinks were paired with an amazing view of Salzburg, and the breakfast spread was extensive and top quality. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the views truly can’t be beat! The hotel overlooks Salzburg and is right next to the Maria Plain church/pilgrimage site. Each morning we woke up to a fresh breeze and bells ringing from the churches nearby—about as quaint and idyllic as it gets. I highly, highly recommend!

The view from the hotel was amazing ...the breakfast was really delicious : fresh and there s a lot of options ... the room was ok : simple and classy design .. keep in mind it s on up-hill so if you re getting there by foot it will take some effort .

The water in the shower was barely warm the whole time...

Location with parking was good, easy check in and checkout was advantage too. staff were perfect.

Exccelent traditional breakfast

I got a perfect view from my window. The breakfast was okay, nothing special, but the restourant was perfect. The menu is not that big, but the things that are on the menu are all very good. Parking is available for eveyone, enough space.

My shower did not function properfly, it was a little bit too noisy at the end of the week.

Amazing view and nearby church!

The location is everything. You can see the whole city while being still close but in a quiet environment. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and warm which is as much as we asked for. The breakfast is a good spread of cold cuts, fresh fruit, pickled veggies (try the mushrooms), cereals, eggs, and bread.

The restaurant food is not worth it for me, is not bad but is just not as good as at other gasthofs in Austria. During breakfast I missed fresh juices, all of them are boxed and are not the same. Be aware that the church bells will wake you up at 7-8 am, we liked it but It maybe not everyone's cup of tea.

Without your own transport it’s difficult - 40 mins walk down/up fairly steep hills poor water pressure taxi to main station c€15 taxi to airport c€25

Wonderful location atop Plainberg. Breathtaking views from the property. Has timeless interiors of old Bavarian Gasthof. Highly recommend to stay if you’re driving to Salzburg. Will comeback again.

if you travel by car this is a perfect place! just 10 min to city center, and the hotel is on the top of the hill together with an old church. stunning views, nice area for walks. the building, rooms, service and breakfast - everything was excellent! I would love to come back. ps dogs friendly
