We didn’t know what to expect from a 1st floor room. The view of the Gulf was amazing as ever. The room was enough for our small family. We love that mornings are quiet and people are very friendly.

The staff and facility are awesome! We have stayed at several resorts in Galveston and the Galvestonian is by far our favorite. Thank you for a great week!

Great property. We could see the ships at night, walk the beach in the morning, and spend the afternoon at the pool. Wonderful getaway

The Galvestonian as a whole was very nice and accommodating. Very pretty grounds, beach access and friendly staff. The unit we rented was pretty clean and quiet, but old and it was messy under cabinets and bed, like other people's things were left and not discarded. The vertical blinds in the living area where the sofa bed was were broken and missing the majority of the slats so there was NO privacy at all after dark in that area (on the 1st floor looking out over the pool). The broken blind slats were under the bed along with some various other plastic bags and maybe pillows??? Kitchen and bathroom were clean and supplied. It was supposed to sleep 4 but the sofa bed was small and terrible, had no linens for it and no information on who to contact to get some. The front desk provided them after the first night. More information from the owner would have been helpful as to where to get fresh towels and linens etc...The unit we thought we were renting and received a confirmation for was cancelled 24 hours later because the owner didn't respond. Not sure if this is a problem with vrbo or what but when we contacted the owner directly the reservation went through. However, it was not the unit we first thought we were renting. It was a short notice vacation so we were grateful to get a place, but if we had more time to plan we wouldn't rent that particular unit again.

The location is unbeatable, the view is spectacular. The condo is nice an cozy. Check in is flawless, we had a pleasant stay and look forward staying again.

As evidenced by title above we really enjoyed our view of the beach and ocean. Located away from any hustle and bustle. Building quiet and well maintained. Facilities were also very well maintained.

Everything was as expected: great location and comfortable. We had a little problem connecting to Internet but the host immediately sent someone to help. We will go back.
