We met our children for a quick weekend get a way and this VRBO was perfect, comfortable and roomy

We ne ded a place to gather as a family for Christmas. This place had plenty of room for us (16). There are as even a Christmas tree! Everything was clean.

After reading other reviews I thought twice about looking for something else but decided to keep the reservation. Everything turned out just fine. Location is great, host and communication with the host was great. The rooms in the house were really unique and fun. There was plenty or space for our family group there except the pictures of the kitchen don't exactly show how small that area is. The kitchen was a lot smaller than we expected but everything worked out okay.

Nice place for a big group

We are a group of ladies that just wanted to get together, chat and eat good food. This house worked out perfectly. It had enough beds and space for us to do just that.

What a disappointment

We had 14 family members at this home and had a great experience. The property owner was very responsive throughout the process, the home is lovely and quirky, which was great for kids. We will use this place again in the future.

Where to start....I guess with the general upkeep of the property. If you are interested in seeing unpainted drywall repairs and several unpainted or half-painted walls, then you are in business. The back yard was destroyed upon arrival. Chairs laying on their sides, bbq half apart and cover blown away, trash on lawn, used towels on lawn, dog doo on lawn, etc. Let's move on to the kitchen.....how about 1 dishwasher pod for a 5 bedroom house (that we had full) for 3 nights, or one roll of paper towels, or no replacement trash bags? The trash compactor is apparently really important to the owner, as the first text I got from her was quite long and all about the importance of using it. Well it doesn't work. Another oddity. When we left on Friday the owners showed up. When we left on Saturday the owners showed up. That seems really weird to me. They should have cleaned the place up and dealt with the trash that they sorted through for an hour prior to or after we left. I guess the camera on the shed let's them know when you are away and they feel it appropriate to come over. Lastly, if all you care about is a house that will sleep alot of people, this one will just suffice.

This was a great place for us to stay for the week as we prepared for and enjoyed our daughter’s wedding. Lots of room, plenty of beds, a fenced in yard for our small dog, and close to amenities. Enjoyed the stay!

We love the character of old houses and this one is great! Plenty of room for a large family. Multiple ports cribs for babies. Bedrooms on all levels. HUGE tv! We wished there were a few toys for little ones and listing shows a bathtub that isn’t there anymore. Being that we came in the winter and the house is old and drafty it was quite difficult to balance the temperature in the house. There is also a friendly woodpecker who likes to peck holes in the front of the house. Only a bother if you’re trying to nap during the day. We did have a good time there and the owners were quite attentive when we had questions or needed something. That is worth a lot! Thank you Carole

Such a cute house. We did have a great time together. We didn’t utilize the family room downstairs but it is nice & has lots of room. Carole was an awesome hostess.

We enjoyed our stay in Orem, the house accommodates a great amount of guests but in the upper level there is only one bathroom.

This property was great and we were really excited about it. But there were a few instances that felt a bit “smoke and mirrors” When we were determining a place to book it was really important to us that the host was accommodating to large group events. I had told her up front it would be for an out state wedding weekend and we were hosting the dress rehearsal there. She has said they’ve done events there and have tables and chairs and would be happy to help in anyway for the event. after booking I regularly checked in with her (being the anxious bride I was) and afterwards she had said there were in fact no table and chairs she could supply, no early check in for us to set up, and when she said she would notify us for early check in she never did so we rushed to set up our event because we were never notified as promised. There were also no garbage bags supplied in the house. She has told us they only use a compactor and that should suffice. For large gatherings that just isn’t enough so we were fine with going out and buying some and leaving them behind for future renters but then she charged us for trash cleanup because the trash cans she supplied couldn’t hold all of our trash. This is a great location, very clean, but would not recommend hosting large events here until host can accommodate that.

This home is so perfectly unique and charming. Everyone in our large family, Grandparents, married children, hence 10 grandchildren. The age range staying in the home was 4 to 65, and we all loved staying there. There was a place for everyone to call their own and then some. With our large family group of 18, we never felt crowded or as if we were in someone's way, or under foot. It was the perfect home with the perfect spice that intrigued the children's minds and imaginations. They had so much fun there and even the two teen age girls loved their bedroom and the home! Thank you so much for everything. I do hope we will have a opportunity to come and stay again.

We accidentally made more of a mess than we expected and received some backlash over it (which is expected, we left more cleaning than usual).. Overall a fun place with lots of space!

Carole, the host, was terrific to deal with - accommodating and immediately responsive! Location and neighborhood were great. Bedrooms and baths were all that we needed, clean and supplied with linens, towels, paper supplies. Kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and utensils. I have discussed with Carole that the tub mentioned in the listing, that we had intended to use for the kids, is no longer there. Also advised her that floors and windows would have benefitted from additional cleaning. We rented the property for a family post-COVID reunion that included 3 toddlers and would have liked to be able to 'gate' several sets of stairs that couldn't be blocked off, although I'm aware that there was no such claim made in the listing. In summary, staying here enabled our family vacation but I would look for another property if we were to return.

We were told we could not use trash bags and were only allowed to use trash compactor located in the kitchen, which was half full when we arrived. If we did not we would be charged an additional landfill fee for our trash. We were also told to use recycling bins for recycling items. Recycling bins were full to the top when we arrived. After contacting owner and asking if it would be okay just to make a trash bag of recycling as we couldn’t fit items in the can. She responded that would be fine. Then later during the small wedding reception dinner we were holding I walked into the kitchen to find someone I didn’t know in the house. Turns out to be the owner checking the status of the trash compactor. She let herself into the home. The next day when we were out and my 16 yr old daughter was at the home alone. The owner again let herself into the house, without any communication to us that this was happening. Scared my child, as she thought someone was breaking in. The house next to this rental is clearly owned by a family member of the owner. The whole time we were at the house they were in the backyard of the house next door in lawn chairs watching us. Clearly there is no expectation of privacy at this property. When we left we ended up having to take all of our trash with us over to a friends house in order to not be charged a landfill fee. It took a lot of convincing for my husband to even stay the 2nd night at the property.

My husband misread the listing and didn't realize it was pet friendly. He has severe allergies. The owner cleaned all the carpets and furniture just for us so there wouldn't be any pet hair. So nice! My kids all got their own rooms, but it is set up that each room could sleep parents and two or three children, so perfect for a family reunion. The location is perfect and easy to get to all activities. Would definitely stay there again.

My family enjoyed staying at this unique home. There was lots of room for everyone, a spacious backyard and everything we needed! Thank you for the use of this home. We all had a great time and slept great!
