We enjoyed the ambience of the property and the size, plus everything was easy to operate and the beds were comfy.
I did find some crisps on the floor in the loungeroom which were not our's as we had only just arrived. This suggested that the house had not been vacuumed before we arrived, so I ended up vacuuming the lower level living areas to be sure and found more missed food on the floor.

It’s a beautiful old house, well equipped with two living areas and heaters/ heat pumps everywhere. Great kitchen containing everything needed to prepare meals.

For a property with room for 8 people it was a bit tight with two toilets one bathroom, but we managed. I’d try to install a second bathroom where the big laundry is, washing machine can be integrated in bathroom. No heating in bathroom, nor extraction fan in extra toilet. Quite cold hallway

The location was good - the town centre was a 20-minute walk or 5-minute car journey. There was a dairy, takeaway and off-licence nearby within easy walking distance. The house was well-decorated and furnished. The heat pump was on when we arrived which made the house warm for us (it was a cold day weekend when we stayed) and was most appreciated.
The bathroom was a bit dark and cold.

This is a very spacious house in a great location. Furnishings are great and it’s well set up for a group or family to enjoy a holiday together. Excellent outdoors area also with bbq.
This house has a few issues that let it down:
- Only one very small bathroom (although there is a second toilet)
- No soap or shampoo provided
- On a very noisey road with no double glazing
- Two of the double beds are very soft with roll together
- We booked through booking.com and it clearly stated in large writing the “Total charges” for the house, only it wasn’t. Very misleading to find in small print an additional $28/person for linen hire. This should either included in the rental price (who travels with sheets) or added into the total like the cleaning fee.
