Shabby and tired exterior and interior with peeling wallpaper, not enough seating and shabby furniture. One sofa did not have any legs, one shower only produced scalding water and bedrooms had minimal comfort. The hot tub was not only disgusting but not fit for purpose.

i didnt like anything about this property , it too old and definitely require major renovation

mattress is too old, we couldnt not sleep over it because of the springs doors are too old and cant be closed properly it too far from the main required services such as supermarkets

It looked nothing like the pictures the hot tub wasn’t working and it needs a hell of working doing on it. Not worth the money

Property was clean and tidy. Bedrooms reasonably spacious

Outside of the property wasn't very inviting. Could benefit from a freshen up as it doesn't give a good impression. Beds not comfortable - certainly in our room. Couldn't adjust shower temperature - water scalding hot or freezing cold. Felt it was overpriced for self catering. Have stayed in B&B's of better quality for less. It appears to be a student house/ HMO being rented out over the summer!! 'Canterbury Retreat' is a little misleading!!!

•Very clean house with fresh bedding and towels provided. •Surprisingly quiet at night, given the built up area. •Very close to Canterbury centre. (Walking distance) •Easy to park, however there were restrictions.

•Located on a housing estate and opposite a reform centre. •Extremely overgrown and unkempt front and rear garden. •Advertised as having extra large double beds. They were in fact small doubles/large singles. •Advertised as having a hot tub for use. Hot tub was in fact still in its packaging, situated by the front door. •One of the toilets was partially blocked. •One of the showers was not able to be used, as the temperature could not be regulated.

Walking distance to Canterbury. Really comfy beds. Communications with hosts easy with prompt responses to questions.

Location of property - on housing estate, close proximity to flats with loud noises at times (but never late at night).
