We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was highly responsive to questions and the property and furnishings were as described and comfortable. Only 1/2 a block from the beach!

This place was a gem. The listing is exactly what you get. It’s across the street from the beach. The place is clean and the beds were very comfortable. Rene was great at communicating and made our stay phenomenal. Will defiantly be booking next year.

The condo is in a great location to Carlsbad village and to the beach. The place was very clean and very comfortable. Having a garage is a nice benefit. We have had several trips from the east coast to Carlsbad village to visit with family. We were very pleased with this condo. The only thing I would suggest is new beach chairs. Thank You very much

We loved our stay at Rene's apartment. It was great having a garage for our rental car (parking so close to the beach can be a nightmare) and the apartment was the perfect base for my wife and kids to enjoy the beach and Carlsbad Village while I was away working during the day. Supreme value for money for a great family getaway.

Everything was great, clean, location is awesome ! This was our second year coming and will be Back next year to stay!

Easy walk to everything you need!

This was a very nice condo in many ways. It was on second floor above its double garage/ laundry area. Just 3 units in the complex (with the other 2 unoccupied most of our stay. We were unit C), so nice and quiet, set back from the street a nice distance so heard no traffic--or even the ocean! --even though its only a block away. A small deck with a sliding double glass door to let in light attached to the living room area just to step out and check the weather or enough room for two to sit. Well stocked kitchen with newer appliances...all the basics except a blender. Very well lighted unit with more (and bright) ceiling lights in every room than I've seen in some time! Good comfortable king bed in large primary bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom . Nice dual sink primary bathroom and second full bathroom was dual door accessible to the second bedroom and served for "half bath" day use. Kitchen well supplied as well as a laundry in the double car garage.(We left our vehicle sit out in the long driveway). An oversized TV (for the size of the room) with full cable and streaming sites available. Another TV in the primary bedroom (we never used). Plenty of beach chairs for the short walk to the ocean (but beach umbrella lacked the "corkscrew" base to stick into the sand, so essentially useless.) Manager easy to contact with direct cell number, granting us prompt access to the adjacent storage building when we noted a few supplies needed. Deadbolt door lock to the condo requires a key so you cant lock yourself out!. Would definitely stay there again!!

This property was perfect for us, close to family and the beach; everything needed was there! Comfortable beds, comfortable living room, would definitely stay here again.

The property was nice and in a good location, however, it was filthy. I didn't want to leave a bad review so I messaged the person managing this place and their response was "well, you can make me a list and I can send someone". I didn't want anyone coming to clean during our stay and we had already cleaned anyhow. I'm not sure who cleans this place but I wanted to let her know they're not doing a good job. She also wasn't apologetic for any of it even though we pay for a cleaning fee when we book. The kitchen was disgusting, The counters had food on them. There was a used/dirty glass cutting board left out, the rugs weren't vacuumed and had a ton of stuff on them (esp the one in the master bathroom), there was sand on the floor in the master bathroom from the previous tenants (we never even went to the beach during our stay), dust on most surfaces except the master side tables. The list goes on. I didn't expect to have to clean someone else's property but we did, including vacuum. I hope the sheets were at least changed. The manager was quick to respond to messages. We had asked if we could park in front of the garage when we got there (she responded quickly), thinking our long car wouldn't fit in the garage but it did so we ended up parking in the garage. The space fit what we needed. It was also close to a lot of restaurants.

We had a great week at Pine Ave. The condo is in the perfect location close to beach and Village. Communication was good when we had a problem with the water pressure in the master shower. Surprisingly quiet at night for how close to the Village you are.

We’ve gone to Carlsbad several times and stay at a different vrbo each time, usually due to availability. This property was very close to the beach, less than a 5 minute walk for myself and 3 kiddos 10-14yo. Beach view is always nice but this was so close and more affordable so worth it! Love the proximity to well, everything! Owner was very responsive to texts, though we didn’t need anything…only had a few questions. Stocked with everything we needed and the beach wagon was a total bonus!!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. We parked the car and didn’t have to drive since downtown Carlsbad and the beach were within a block. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing place close to the beach.

This was a great property - very spacious, clean and well-equipped. It does not feel like a rental because nothing in it is low quality. For instance the beach towels, the washer/dryer and the toilet paper were above typical rental standards. The owner is friendly, gracious and accommodating. Location, location, location! It’s less than half a block from the entrance to the beach, 2 blocks to Carlsbad Village and all of the great restaurants there. We LOVED this rental and have already decided to come back.

Clean place, perfectly located near the center of town. Was able to walk everywhere, no need to drive.

We loved our time here. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of beach towels and chairs and sand toys. It is a very easy walk to the beach, and we were carting an infant, 4 year old, and all the beach accoutrement. Only con is the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, which did not negatively impact our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location half block from beach and right off village. Property was clean but there were some ants but there was spray. Perfect for family tripo! Would definitely stay there again.

Awesome location, 1 block from the beach. Property looks out over a gravel lot with a few older motor bones, not the village or the beach as the photo implies. Place is a little dated but my real issues were with the presence of ants and lack of basics like paper towels, shampoo etc. When I texted the PM about the ants and that they were in the kitchen and the towels her response was "oh, would you like some other towels." I noticed that the previous guest has ants, but they didnt think it was a big deal. I hope the owners take the steps to deal with this and also deep clean, paint and get some new carpet. This place is so close to ideal, just needs some TLC. I would not go so far as to say do not book, just be prepared for the potential of some visitors.

We spent a lovely 5 days in this townhome. The top three reasons we chose this over other locations was 1. Location to beach and a multitude of restaurants in walking distance; 2. 2 beds with TWO baths; 3. Two dedicated parking spaces. Two couples traveled from two different locations, so we had two cars. Parking anywhere near the beach in the summer is a complete pain, so these parking spaces were key to a smooth vacation, coming and going. Ants did make regular appearances near the bedroom window and kitchen, but the ant spray in the unit kept them at bay. We would stay here again.

Nice condo just a short walk to the ocean. All the conveniences of home. Wonderful stay great restaurants within walking distance.

Easy to rent, pay for and get to

Clean, easy access and close to the beach. Trip couldn’t have been any better.

We had a great time staying here. We were able to walk to the beach. The property is clean with everything you need at the beach. We have stayed here for several years and will continue to go back.
