Help yourself breakfast was well laid out with staff re-filling. Hotel was looking spruced up. Beds very comfortable, shower hot.

The breakfast was very good. Regularly replenished with freshly cooked items.

The hotel is very clean but very basic. Room was small and dated.

The young lady ( Spanish ) who does the breakfast is superb. Polite , attentive , smiling , nothing too much trouble….. a real asset to the business.

Clean and the food was fantastic.

The breakfast was amazing; tasty, hot and plentiful. Also the little extras in the room such as bottled water and sweets were a lovely touch.

Ease of check-in. English Style Buffet Breakfast was quite well. There is mini bar at ground floor. There are just 2 floors, all rooms are on 2nd floor. In the room, hotel provided towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner, hair dyer, coffee & tea & some cookies, wardrobe, work table, heater. Free parking space in front of hotel. there are some restaurants near hotel which can walk there. bed and pillow is good. warm blanket. Person in charge has good manners.

the room not keep a noise. Some devices / appliances are incomplete such as shower, curtain, TV cable. The water heating in the bathroom is still and traditional style.

There was a bar area which was lovely but it closed on last check in which was 9pm it would have been better if it was open until 11 as there was no pub nearby were we could walk to for a drink

Had a nice time visiting Alexandra and Katrina while I had some wine in the bar.

Wish it had a restaurant but there was an excellent Italian restaurant within walking distance.

Room could have been bigger

There is nothing to dislike about this place. Room comfortable. Staff excellent. Breakfast well what can I say. Plentiful excellent. Been here 5 days .can't fault it at all.

The room was adequate and good value for money. The staff were all willing and enthusiastic, and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and set me up for a full day of mountain biking.

The place is old, but this is fairly reflected in the pricing.

The manger making an exception and allowing us to stay when we had absolutely no where else to go after a 2hour plus drive!

Being told , I was a liar by the manger ...that nobody would tell me dogs are allowed! We booked a PET FRIENDLY hotel (According to the booking on your site.)..ONLY TO BE TOLD NO DOGS ALLOWED at check in😡 We had phoned the hotel prior to our visiting asking about the dog and were told by a member of staff that it did allow dogs as its a pet friendly hotel on booking .com The manger thankfully made an exception and allowed us to stay the night as we had a private family party booked there that night and also 3 more rooms for family! We paid £133 for bed and breakfast ...I never got breakfast, dog wasn't allowed near restaurant As for the room.... The blinds were broked & didn't close the curtains hang off the track Tea mugs stained and crackled The room was clean and large but we won't be staying there again

Super nice brekkie, good choice of food Scottish breakfast or you could have cereals, muselli, toast and yummy porridge. Bed comfy, room had nice aspect I was in Balmoral rooms. Liked having a bar on site.

Rooms were small but comfortable but noisy when guests were coming and going. However everyone went to bed early so that was ok. Dinjj I’m g on site- none and limited choices as Bruno’s up the road was booked out one night. Went to tapas bar in town which was nice.

The curtains in my room no. 5 were missing several hanging rings which looked sloppy and allowed light in where they gaped

Stayed in the main hotel, single room comfortable, had everything you need for a overnight stay. Bathroom aged but clean. would stay here again.

Was double booked and relocated to a bed and breakfast with no hotel facilities e.g no bar and had to go to original hotel for breakfast which we didn't do

The breakfast was as expected and ok but nothing more. There was a selection of teas in the room.

The bed was very squeaky as was the floor, the door did not fit properly, consequently it had to be shoved hard to close it, (as did other doors by the sound of it), making a lot of noise for others. The carpet was ill fitted and very warn and the bed, in my opinion was in the wrong place. Several of the vertical blinds at the window were missing as were hooks on the curtains, giving it a neglected feel and look The bar is only open until the last guest books in so if you want to have a drink you either have to walk to the local hostelries or take a drink to your room. The bathroom was small and in need of some renovation, there was only one hook for hanging towels, which were not very big and the shower head just blasted water form the central jets as the outside one were probably clogged with lime scale. The bathroom also had 2 holders attached to the walls, presumably once containing soap and shower gel, now all you get is 2 small tabs of soap and 2 sachets of shampoo. The room no way reflected the price we paid for it, £113. I have stayed in much better hotels at a lot less cost. I'm sure at one time the hotel was considered quite grand, but alas, i cannot say it is now. I would certainly not recommend it.
