Das Personal ist sehr professionell, zuvorkommend, nett und gastfreundlich. Man geht hier mit jedem Gast bedonderes freundlich um. Was wir und alle unsere Gäste an extra Aufmersamkeit bekommen haben übertrifft alle Erwartungen. Das Essen ist super lecker und hat eine außerordentlich gute Qualität in jeder Hinsicht (aus was, wie es gemacht ist und wie es serviert wird). Tolles, reichhaltiges Frühstück mit vielen Extras. Frühstückssal mit einer herrlichen Terrase und insta Ausblick (von Bergen richtig umhüllt) . Generell ist eine tolle Lage, viel frische Luft, was in dieser Stadt nicht selbstverständlich ist. Nähe zu Medeo und Skigebiet richtig vorteilhaft. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, gemütlich und sehr hell mit einer tollen Aussicht. Schöner Spa Bereich. Rundum mehr als Zufrieden!!!

Отличный загородный отель по дороге на Медео. Рядом один из лучших ресторанов города. За городом, но не так далеко. Чистый воздух (в самом городе тяжеловато дышать).

We liked the hotel. Although it is far from the city, for us it's good because the snow-capped mountain view is beautiful. Too bad we did not experience the snowfall when we were there. Staffs are nice and accommodating. They will try hard to explain it in English, otherwise the translator app is a great help.

During our last day, there was no WiFi. If we only knew, we should have brought a local sim with data.

Nice quite place to stay over the weekend for hiking and exploring Szymbylak. On one day, our journey started before the official breakfast hours, but the friendly reception organized breakfast to be brought to the room. We had it on the spacious balcony and really enjoyed it in view of the surrounding mountains. I can also recommend the SPA area!

On the check-out date we could not use the SPA area as guests after freeing up the room. Many hotels do allow that for free.

Great hotel near the skiing resort with a mountains view. I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the skiing resort and ice skating. It's possible to get there on a bus or on a taxi. The bus stop is in front of the hotel. The hotel is well-maintained, and the interior is very cosy and decorated beautifully with local elements and styles. The breakfast variety is outstanding, doesn't get boring, and all the food is really fresh and tasty. Good restaurant in the hotel, delicious food, seafood variety and professional personnel. Not to mention beautiful canaries who made every dinner special by singing their birdy songs. Good sound-proof system, I didn't hear my neighbours at all, usually, it's not the case in most of the hotels even on the higher end. Great spa and wellness area, the water in the swimming pool is warm and it was comfortable to be there, everything is clean. The hotel cares about nature and sustainability, possible to ask not to change towels and bed linen every day. There's a really strong heating system, so you could expect a comfortable temperature in every room as well as in public areas.

Overall, it's a great hotel, I had a pleasant experience and enjoyed my stay at Samal. If I'm in Almaty again I would definitely stay there. Few improvement suggestions: I booked three rooms and in one of them, the doorway was damaged. It didn't affect our experience or anything. Perhaps it was damaged by the previous guests and they didn't have enough time to fix it as we arrived earlier and the team did their best to finish the rooms asap. In my room the bath tap wasn't stable and I decided not to risk switching from tap to shower mode. I encountered it on the last night of my stay so I didn't report it to the manager, I'm pretty sure they would have fixed it if they knew. Spa programs could be more variable. I've got an impression that the personnel in the spa center isn't fully aware of what services they have. For example, I've booked face massage and a calming mask but got only face massage with oil. When I asked about the mask the lady pretended she didn't understand me.
