Barefoot Estate was amazing. The house was gorgeous and extremely well stocked. The two beaches around the house were secluded and within a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive. The times we were down there we were the only patrons on the beach. Overall the experience was amazing. The only "negative" thing I can say is the property is extremely secluded. For us that wasn't a problem but just be prepared to drive 25-30 minutes for restaurants and shopping. There is a great new small market at the front of the neighborhood that had food, beer, snacks etc and the owner was extremely helpful. He is going to start carrying produce and meats soon which would be awesome. In addition there is a new hotel opening witnin the development that is going to have a couple restaurants. Once those are open I would say this location can't be beat. Overall we had an amazing time and will 100% be back soon.

We had a multi-generational family gathering at the property for a week and can’t say enough great things. What a special property. Service/check-in: Seamless. Host always available with a quick reply. We had one very minor issue with the house during our stay. I wouldn’t have even mentioned but to say that it was handled immediately. Property: Heaven. Pool was amazing. Sitting out on the patio during day and evenings was our primary hang out place. Amazing water views and sunsets. Outdoor kitchen was a hit. Stargazing at night. House: All the rooms and bathrooms were great. Kitchen had everything you could need. Able to open up all the doors and get a nice breeze. Or could close windows and turn on A/C. House had really everything you could need for a week stay. Location: Very easy to get into town. But we really only left to go get food. Sandy Bay beach (2 min drive away) was a perfect beach for kids and adults. Soft sand, clear water. As you can hopefully tell, we really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this property!

Barefoote Estate is a magnificent property overlooking the water, with sunrise and sunset views. The house is elegant, beautifully landscaped, and exceptionally well equipped with everything from beach chairs and umbrellas to pool floats. We used the outdoor BBQ almost every night and ate on the outdoor patio, enjoying the warm ocean breeze. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, even a blender for mixing Pain Killers and Pina Coladas. The secluded sandy beaches within the Botany Bay Preserve are among the most beautiful in the world and we had them almost completely to ourselves. The property manager, Lauren, responded immediately to our every need and sent a concierge to meet us at the airport. Communication was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. This is truly a 5 star property.

Family of 11 totally enjoyed the house, pool, grounds and ocean beaches

Barefoote Estate should have been a great place to stay, the outside of the house is beautiful. The inside of the house is a very different matter. Unfortunately, during our nine-night stay, the AC only consistently worked in 2 of the 5 bedrooms (green/blue rooms) and never in the room with the TV or in the kitchen. Showering in the master bath was awful- there was never AC in there to begin with. With daily temperatures in the upper 80's with high humidity, this ongoing problem made being in the house/trying to sleep miserable for everyone. On our first night when we reported the AC issue to Lauren the “concierge”, we were asked 4 times in less than 30-minutes if we had all the doors/windows closed (we already had done this before being asked the 1st time). When we let Lauren know how uncomfortable she was making us feel by asking the same thing so many times, she said she was “just making sure” they were closed. On our first night, it was 85 degrees in the kitchen and 80 in the other rooms. Cooking was impossible in the heat. We were 30 minutes from any food and going out for it meant traveling roads poorly lit and not in great condition. We ended up having to go get pizza, not what we had planned for our first dinner in the home. We all had little to no sleep that night and this remained true for the remainder of our stay. After replacing a breaker the next day did not fix the problem, we were given multiple excuses for why the AC did not work for the next eight days without the problem being resolved. It was beyond hot in the house- typically close to 80 degrees in the kitchen, in the three bedrooms, and in the room with the tv. When you pay a great deal to stay somewhere, this should never had been an issue for one, let alone nine nights. We still question why we had to pay the full amount when Barefoote Estate clearly failed to provide the amenities described in its VRBO listing. As well, no one even apologized for the poor conditions we experienced at the house. We were so disappointed in this rental, with Lauren the “concierge”, and would never consider staying at Barefoote Estate again.

This property is exactly as described- beautiful home and phenomenal views. We had a family of 10 and there was enough space for everyone. Each room had individual AC and everything we needed. The kitchen was equipped for anything we needed to cook. With surround sound from the patio to the infinity pool, we were able to enjoy sun and shade. The iguanas came out for the sun showers. We walked to Mermaid’s Chair and Sandy Bay. The house has a full book shelf of good reads. Thank you, Lauren- the best house concierge. You helped us navigate the island, car rental, boat charter, taxi and dining ideas. You made our trip better than we planned. Can’t wait to come back. (Sue)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property was very clean and well maintained. The views are to die for, absolutely outstanding! Add in that Lauren, the concierge, was both prompt and super helpful....we had an awesome week and would highly recommend!!

Barefoote Estate is the epitome of a luxury vacation home. The house overlooks and incredible cliff on the west side of St Thomas. Driving up to the estate through all of the palm trees give you a taste of the magnificent home. Once you enter the property you are awe struck by the incredible views, the sea breeze and the sunset. Wow! The sunset! Lauren was the perfect host. She handled all arrangements for us so our vacation was truly a vacation and we did not have to worry about anything. I highly, highly recommend this property. Kitchen was very well appointed, bedrooms were extremely comfortable and bathrooms had everything we needed. Only regret is we couldn't stay longer.
