This B&B is close to the sea, but not at the seafront. Our room had a balcony and therefore a view which was nice. Its a 20 min walk from the bus station, the train is closed in 2024 for upgrade and the station is not close to the town. We picked up the key from a hotel in the town 10 mins away, from a nice friendly girl. There is a nice restaurant 50 meters away as well. There was a good breakfast at the B&B It is about a 30 min walk to the town centre and castle and port I would stay there again for sure

The staff is excellent. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection of things to choose from.

The towels are changed every three days. Considering the heat and taking a few showers a day, every two days would have been better.

La struttura è nuova, molto pulita. Posizione perfetta per visitare il centro molto vicino a piedi. Staff molto gentile.

Everything as promised, hectic parking but the whole island is like that. Host are good and friendly, killer breakfast.

Nice small Accomodation about 15 Min from Center. Not so easy to find, but it worked all well. Good contact via sms/whatsapp and email for contactless checkin.

It was promissed 45 m2 room by Booking, but it was much much less. There was smell from toilet and it took time to remove

wifi was basically non existent and kept dropping out. Owner blamed it on us. Metal door to patio stuck in the down position so very dark. We asked for it to be fixed. We waited in the room for someone as they said they would come to fix. When I complained next day on checkout they said they didn’t send someone to fix as we were in the room. Duh, we were waiting in the room for them to fix. All they had to do was ask or text us. Not happy with our stay.

Not much. Breakfast was excellent. Location is fine with many restaurants only a few minutes away by foot even though parking was a bit challenging. Looks like they also own a hotel and have ties with a private beach offering reduced rates which is great in that area

Could not connect to WiFi until I realized very late in the evening the facility has two networks with nearly the same name but a small difference between them and one of them is not open to guests... I did contact the facility though WhatsApp and was initially told there were probably too many people on the wifi network. What kind of an answer is that? Really? Secondly, one of the shower door was broken and coming off its rail guard so unable to close properly so ended up with water everywhere in the bathroom after two showers... Thirdly, there was a broken light on the bathroom. Probably not mentioned by a previous guest Finally, and this shows this B&B needs better processes in the summer: AC can only be on when you are in the room yourself. I get that we need to be environmentally friendly but in view of the very high temperature (+29C) in the room when we got in at 6:30PM, it would be nice to be able to leave the AC unit on when away for dinner to have a decent temperature after you come back to the room. The ACunit itself, in my opinion, needs maintenance as it performed very poorly all night, barely bringing the room temp down to 25.5C by early morning. This last point is truly unacceptable to me. Unlike all other B&B's we stayed at while in Sicily, we didn't see anyone from A Mare when we checked in late PM. A Mare uses WhatsApp to message its guests. That is okay but a presence upon check-in in the evening would be a plus in my opinion. Overall and very unfortunately, I cannot recommend A Mare wholeheartedly. Unless I missed something as it was late in the summer season for this facility, A Mare needs to improve its guest handling.
