It is getting a little old and on the expensive side for what you get.

As part of a group of eight, I recently stayed at The Westin, a business-oriented hotel located near the conference centre. While the hotel offered some positives, there were several areas where improvements could be made.
Positives:
Spacious Accommodations: The King Deluxe room was generously sized. The classic dresser desk added a link to the past.
Convenient Location: The hotel's proximity to the conference centre was beneficial.
Areas for Improvement:
Inaccurate Billing: Despite booking a package that included breakfast and parking, I was unexpectedly charged for breakfast.
Limited Amenities: The was no daily replenishment of room amenities, such as soap, mouthwash, and tea.
Insufficient Lighting: The room's lighting was inadequate, relying solely on mismatched table lamps.
Subpar Dining: While not included in my overall rating, the hotel bar's food quality was disappointing, leading to uneaten meals.
Overpricing: Given the current state of the hotel, the pricing seemed excessive.

The staff around the hotel were all absolutely amazing. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was delicious, but the rooms could use a little facelift. Overall, a great stay.

What stands out the most about this property is the superior staff. It is also super nice that the lobby is open 24 hours and the coffee and tea service is set up starting very early in the morning (helpful for early departures)!

The hotel could use an upgrade. It was clean and functional but worn and tired looking. The room was a good size with the king bed. But shower was small and there was no body wash to be had in the “eco-friendly” dispensers in the shower. Happy for the bottle of water provided, but we were two in the room. And extra bottle would have been nice. Otherwise, the hotel is in a great location. And the view we had of the busy Edmonton downtown was good. Nice to see Edmonton vibrant. Appreciated the complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby in the morning. Thank you.

It's a pretty blah hotel. The carpets are clearly dated and they are charging top tier prices for a so so hotel. I wasn't very impressed with it, but it was a place to stay I guess.

I have Covid and didn’t travel. Can I get a refund?

First, we drove up, waited about 5-10 minutes for the valet to come out and help. Room was very awkward only had one nightstand and the TV was on a sidewall. In the restaurant in the hotel $30 for buffet and they barely had anything that was appealing. The eggs were out the sausage looked undercooked beans looked old and dry. Waited 15 minutes to pay had to go to the front desk to get somebody to call so we could pay for our meal. Will never stay there again

Our Deluxe King bed room was spacious but seemed emptier than other rooms I've had before, almost as if they removed a table and/ or desk and chair. Kind of strange.
I also will never understand why hotels don't have bathroom fans. It just feels gross!
