Perfect and clean

Only complaint is that our bathroom smelled like urine (extremely bad). We have stayed here about 5 times with no problems.

We were especially impressed with breakfast. They have an excellent hot/cold selection and good service. All employees of the hotel are friendly and efficient.

Was perfect for what we wanted to do. Walked where we wanted to go. Getting hooked up to wifi took way to long and too complicated

The pictures do not represent what you’re going to walk into. This place was gross. For the money we were thoroughly disappointed and honestly, I expect a refund at this point. You can hear everything going on next-door you in these thin walls as well. It was gross.

Riu is conveniently located close to Pier 39 tons of cafes and shops. The bar & restaurant staff are super friendly! The only down side was the garbage collection at 5 am, it was pretty noisy but I guess it comes with city life. I would stay again, just on a different side.

This was our first time staying at the Riu hotel, and when we arrived there was chaos at check-in as the payment systems had gone down and payment could only be completed via a link or in cash, however the staff were working hard to resolve the issue, and were very apologetic for the delay in getting checked in. The hotel lobby is modern and offers a very convenient grab-and-go food service with reasonably priced hot and cold food and drinks, ideal for when you want something easy after a long flight, or you don't want to pay for a food delivery to the hotel. The room itself was a little dated, however was very clean with a comfortable bed. Be warned that the air conditioning unit in the room is VERY loud - fine for us as we don't mind white noise, but this may bother other guests. The location of the hotel is very convenient for fisherman's wharf, around a 5 minute walk to the start of the wharf, and conveniently located for transport to Pier 39/Alcatraz landing/the Ferry Building Market. The breakfast offering is also delicious and extensive, just bear in mind that there may be a short queue to enter the dining area.

This hotel is ideally positioned for Fisherman’s Wharf and is a short walk from many attractions. The hotel is adequate. Disappointingly it doesn’t have a restaurant for evening meals so if you were a solo female traveller not wishing to walk the streets in the dark this would annoy you. The breakfast is really very good but gets very busy even in a weekday. The room was large and comfortable. Our view was of a bus garage/car park and it did get noisy at times but not at night. The bar area is not particularly relaxing; it’s a bit loud and plays sports on the tv. The grab and go is convenient. Ask for a room on a high level and not overlooking the main entrance. There is an outside patio area with heaters and it gets noisy.

Excellent reception during check in. Room was clean, updated, love the large bath towels and comfortable bed!

We love staying at the RIU feels like home and comforting. Staff are great and helpful. Kudos to Sean and group as well as the breakfast staff. RIU does not disappoint!

Really nice bed. Very small washroom. Hollow ceiling/floors made it very easy to hear people walking upstairs. Very good breakfast.

Great location for 4th July fireworks and tourist attractions in general. Excellent pool and sunbeds. Shame about the room location with road/traffic/pedestrian noise through the night.

Not the best stay I’ve had, for the price of the hotel I’d expected a great experience, check in took 45 minutes and I had dirty towels when I went into my room.

We loved our stay at Hotel Riu Fisherman's Wharf. It was convenient to everything, the staff was very helpful, the free breakfast had everything you'd want and was delicious, and the room was bright and clean!

It was a good spot to stay only for one night. We noticed our room was wheelchair accessible (roll in shower) yet at the very far end of the building. Since we're able bodied, it didn't bother me, but I think that's discriminatory to put the ADA compliant rooms so far from the elevators. Oh, the accessible bathroom didn't have any space to put our toiletries on....

Nice Hotel. but you breakfast area is way to small. Even 8 o’clock in the morning it’s like a trainstation in rush hour !!!

Amazing convenient can’t wait for next time

Very well located near fisherman’s wharf . Rooms were very spacious and the breakfast was wonderful.

We had a very good experience in this hotel: The employees were very nice & very competents. The room vas very comfortable and clean. What to say about the breakfast other then WOW! Everything you could whish was there: a lot of fruits, cereals, pankakes, salmon, sausages, juces and much more!! The location of the hotel is perfect if you plan to spend time in the Fisherman's Warf. Only a few minutes away!

There is a bar in the lobby that makes it easy to grab a cocktail and go outside and enjoy the evening. Overall, this is a very reasonably priced hotel with several nice perks. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very nice and in a great location. We were minutes away from all the piers . We were there for a stay of 10 days without a vehicle and we were walking distance to all the transportation options. Very easy to get around San Francico. We were 4 adults in the room, it was ok but the bathroom is very small. We did not use the pool as it was a bit cold, the pool area is small for the number of units in the hotel, not a lot of lounge chairs, but it was clean and they do have towels. The cleanliness of the hotel was good. The breakfast was excellent ! Even if you do have to wait a bit in line to be seated, the service and food are worth the wait. A lot of choices and everything is hot and plenty of food, never had to wait for anything. The staff is just wonderfull and always smiling. Overall we loved this hotel. The only negative part is that there was a lot of noise from the room upstairs. In the morning we were woken up very early by the people walking in the room. It made noisy cracks in the ceiling. I do recommend this hotel and i would go back anytime.

We booked this hotel because we like staying near fisherman‘s wharf. Expectations were modest based on some reviews. It was actually perfect for us because the accommodation was better than we expected and actually quite nice. Lobby and public areas were very nice, the breakfast buffet was really quite extensive, and the line was not as bad as people have complained about. Not a problem at all. They have a nice little store in the lobby with some decent decent takeout food. On our last night, we were too tired to go out again so we had some warm paninis from this little store. The only negative I have for the entire hotel (and the multi-day stay) is that, yes, the walls are extremely thin, and you can hear every conversation from your neighbors. We booked a room on the fourth floor, which is the highest floor, and actually had a little bit of a view towards the Golden Gate Bridge. This location was perfect for our sightseeing goals and we actually tried taking WayMo, the self-driving autonomous taxi, for the first time. What a blast! Definitely recommend this hotel. Much better experience than we expected.

Nice room, everything you needed, breakfast was nice

The location of the property was excellent. It was easy to check in and park. The environment was very elegant, relaxed and the buffet was excellent. My only negative was the room. The bathroom was small with no fans. Very tight for three people. I paid for three adults but only had towels for two people.

Hotel was nice. Staff was great. Pillows a little soft and no posted quiet hours so had to listen to upstairs room kids wrestle and stomp around until 11pm butv that's not really the hotels fault.

This is honestly a very middle of the road hotel so the price is not worth it. They do have a full breakfast but it’s crazy in there & they don’t let you take food back to your room! powdered eggs & overcooked/warmed under heat lamps type. Only coffee, juice & water. No soda or even a flavored creamer to offer. They didn’t have room service. Their app said the service was suspended. Parking is over $50 per night. Beds weren’t comfortable for anyone other than my 5 year old who could sleep on pretty much anything. The pool was fine but small. The only real benefit was the location for most of the things around the wharf. I do not feel like it was worth what we paid.

Nice staff and hotel, but very crowded and Windows not so good and it is therefore noisy at night, if you have a room towards bus terminal. Therefore overrated and need better windows on this side. Breakfast good.

The room was very small. There was only one entrance into the hotel. The line for breakfast was ridiculous and they wouldn’t let you take anything back to your room even though there was no where to sit. I would not recommend staying here.

Breakfast was nuts - a line around the corner. They told us ahead of time that it’s busy enough that we might have to wait a little while but this looked like the entire hotel went at 8:30 am. Needless to say we did not stay
