A very nice hotel with good and rich breakfast. For some reason our room had a pretty small bathroom comparing to the same type of room on another floor (and to a lower class room as well).

It was nice 1 night stay in the hotel. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious with wide variety of food.

Metropole hotel is located literally across the street from the bus station. So, its super convenient. The hotel is beautiful. It has all the old world charm with the new age conveniences. Their breakfast options were incredible, room and the bathroom were spacious & clean. Hotel is in walkable distance to every thing & even the shopping mall is right around the corner. Highly recommend staying here in your stay at Riga.

Okay hotel, 10 walk from the bus station. Five minute walk into the Old City. All of the tourist sites are very Supermarket and shopping stores all within five minute walk. My room was a standard twin bed for one person. It was small but clean. It had a hot water kettle, coffee and tea packets, mini fridge filled with hotel soda drinks and alcohol drinks, and TV, and air conditioner. Breakfast was very good, eggs bacon pancakes, potato paddies toast jams rolls cereals juices, coffee tea variety of meats and fruits.

Beautiful newly renovated hotel! Air conditioning, elevator, comfortable beds, best breakfast buffet I ever had. Room was a little small and tub was an awkward shape but those were minor issues. Convenience store on the corner and easy walk to all of the old town. On a main street so there is some traffic noise. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Riga!

Beautiful hotel, very well designed in a busy city centre. Perfect location, close to everywhere - old town just behind you, Central Market and bus /train stations cross the road. Bus stop to the airport a few metres away from hotel. Rooms are big and there's everything you need to enjoy your stay - comfy bed, nice shower, plenty of storage space. Delicious breakfast and good coffee to start your day. And of course, friendly and welcoming staff in a reception and breakfast room. Highly recommend 🇱🇻

Easily accessible by public transportation, perfectly situated between the Old City and the Art Nouveau district, the Metropole is one of Riga's best hotels. Yet it is surprisingly affordable. Rooms are small, but the hotel dates from a time when rooms were just for sleeping. Public spaces are attractive and clean. Staff is multilingual and attentive. The "Gastropub" De Commerce 1871 should receive better notice: it's a lovely space with first class continental dishes and an excellent bar.

Our stay at the hotel was perfect. It is conveniently located on the edge of the old town and is right next to the bus for the airport. The breakfast is exceptional sets you up for a day of exploration.

The Metropole is a grand old hotel. It’s lovely and in a good location, just on the edge of Old Town and a 20 minute walk to the Art Nouveau section. The breakfast is superior with many delicious offerings. Staff friendly and helpful.

I emailed the hotel several times that I would like a quiet room away from the elevator and one that is not facing a busy street. At check in I received a room facing the very busy street. I asked to have my room changed and the guy in charge acknowledged that they received my email requests but said in Russian to the trainee at the reception “give her the small room” not realizing that I understand Russian. It was the smallest room on the floor. When I opened my not so big suitcase (26”) it filled the space between the window and the bed leaving me a small passage to the bathroom and door on the other side of the bed. I believe I was downgraded based on the description of the room I prepaid for. When I mentioned to the guy in charge that the room was very small, he shamelessly offered me an upgrade for €40 a night. Hence the 2 stars. The location was great within walking distance to all the major tourist attractions in old town Riga.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Clean with brilliant breakfast. Close to everything including the bus and train stations and the old town. Would highly recommend.

Very good 4 star hotel in perfect place. Nice and stylish in historical building. Good breakfast, even with sparkling wine. Only challenge is parking, hotel has expensive (35 eur) parking lot for 1 car near hotel main entrance. And across the street you can have parking ticket. And 1 more thing, during morning rush there is need to wait longer for one and only elevator. But of course, you can use stairs as well ;-.)

Nice hotel in many ways, but when room is towards the street then noisy traffic starts disturbing at around 6 o'clock in the morning.

Lovely hotel located on the edge of the old town, close to railway and bus station. Nice breakfast, attentive and helpful staff. If we returned to Riga we would stay here. Excellent all round.

The hotel has the best location, beside old town and Riga city. Walking distance to everything. The room was nice and the ac really good. The breakfast needs improvement. The croissant was not fresh the scrambled eggs not homemade. The oatmeal was like water. Otherwise a good choice of the hotel! And the bar was closed in sundays and during the day

Lovely room and staff. Fab location.

I had a fabulous stay at Metropole. The hotel has been recently renovated and it has the upscale feel to it without being obnoxious or intimidating. The rooms are spacious and everything is done with attention to detail, including breakfast. Bedding is very comfy (the bed is a bit too firm but not a problem for me), fluffy towels, heated floor in bathroom, powerful AC, everything is just perfect. It’s an old building, so the rooms are also well-insulated. The desk is also comfortable if you need to use a laptop while staying here. The curtains keep room very dark. The hotel guests seem respectable, so you won’t have problems with loud drunk guests roaming the corridors. I highly recommend this hotel to any discerning visitor. Great location too near shopping and transport.
