I like this property and have stayed before. The check in is a bit iffy depending upon the staff checking you in. Bonvoy status usuall gets you something, but it’s not welcomed, but something to ask for. That’s a bit odd. The M Class rooms are great with the Club to step into at anytime for a refreshment or bit of snack, breakfast. Location is great in the heart of Portland. Rooms are very clean, fresh, contemporary.

It was in a good location for my business trip. But it is a loud hotel. You can hear the bar noise from upstairs. My room neighbors were also partying. Very young vibe and crowd. I had my fun but also wanted to turn in early. The manager said the hotel is set up for the younger crowd. What?? I also had some VIP credits but no one told me about them until after I paid $100 for dinner.

When choosing a place to stay overnight, a Marriott is one of my favorites. The check in process is super easy, parking is easy with lots of options, and you can’t beat the location. The beds are adequate, bathrooms are always nice. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend The Bidwell to anyone staying in Portland.

We’ve stayed at numerous properties in the Portland area and this is by far the best! Clean, quiet. Fantastic workout room! And Levi at the front desk was the nicest person we’ve ever dealt with at a hotel check-in. He went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. DEFINITELY will be back.

We were unable to use the $30 destination fee because staff at check-in told us one thing and at check-out we were told that wasn't how we could use it. Great room, great walkability to Providence Park.

Amazing experience! The staff are all so helpful and really friendly. The destination package included Japanese garden tickets, which is such a great perk! Highly recommend :)

Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well appointed. The Bidwell is located conveniently in downtown Portland. We used TriMet and Uber to get around and it was so easy. The staff were standouts! Helpful, professional, welcoming, responsive, everything you could want! Highly recommend this hotel!

The staff was great -- relaxed and informal, yet efficient, helpful and friendly. The room was very nice. And we loved the VIP tickets to the Japanese Garden! My lone criticism: I wasn't a big fan of the High Horse restaurant; it was comfortable but service was slow, the menu was limited and the prices were very high for what you got (all sizzle, no steak).

Spacious room and friendly staff however if you are at all allergic to pets don’t stay here. Our room had rements of pet dander so we moved rooms late at night. Luckily there are rooms where pets have not stayed. Either the room was not thoroughly cleaned or not cleaned at all. Even elevators smell of pets.

The hotel was in a safe area with lots of food and shopping in walking distance. The staff was very helpful and so welcoming and attentive. The restaurant credit was a nice way to offset the destination fee too. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Rooms were large, well appointed, good lighting & good arrangement of electrical connectors for devices. Bathroom was clean, large & modern. A very quite part of town re: nighttime noise. Very welcoming and attentive staff. The guest complimentary mixed drink was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Bidwell. It was clean, updated and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Portland.

Great spot. Room was fantastic, great restaurant/bar on the second floor with a pool table. Parking is of course crazy expensive. But down the street you can find parkades for 1/3 the price.
Overall great spot, superb location. Will stay again.

good location, the breakfast was amazing and tasty the room small but comfortable, but the housekeeping didn’t change our bedsheets for the 4 nights i didn’t know the rolls of the hotel do we have to tell for change.

Area was not what we expected. Lots of homeless and unwell people sleeping on sidewalks, did not feel safe going out late. No microwaves in the room, parking was expensive. Restaurant was great, service was hit and miss, but overall good. Destination fee was added to our room charge, so charged $30 a day, but advertised as a $30 food credit per day, so really, you pay for the food credit on your bill. Hotel overall was well maintained and clean and found a majority of the staff very friendly.
