The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Perfect location a short walk to the Santa Monica beach and pier.

The hotel was an hour and 15 minutes late to check us in. Beds and sheets weren’t comfortable, shower didn’t drain and faucets were leaky. Staff was friendly but service was slow. For $1,500 / nt. I expected a lot more.

Great hotel if you want to be at the heart of Santa Monica!

Front desk and house keeping very friendly. Sitting areas in lobby, front of the hotel, and poolside are excellent ways of enjoying the property. Some of the smaller rooms with ocean views have been stylishly updated. Much of the other rooms and suites in definite need of similar updating. Room key operated elevators / property access would be a solid security upgrade during evening hours. Overall would recommend the Fairmont Miramar especially when factoring in it’s location

Nice hotel that has a few key flaws. First, it's literally unbearable to be on the side of the hotel facing the night club (odd number rooms), especially below the top floor. There is pounding club music starting around 5p and going until 2a. It's literally unbearable and there is no way anyone could sleep through it. We requested and were moved to top floor of opposite side of hotel and the view was lovely and was quiet. Second, the pool is small and very crowded - almost impossible to get a chair and no attendees to help. There is a side section on the lawn, but not much room. Third, elevators failing so had to use service elevators entire time. Front desk and bar service were great. Valet ran about $60 per night for reference

Although my stay was overall fine but there were definitely few areas for improvement. The bathtub was leaky, elevators did not work for 2 days, kitchen closes at 10, soap dispensers in women’s bathroom didn’t have soap for entire stay, no housekeeping for half my stay. Staff is great. Polite and courteous. Food was fine. Beautiful location and property but needs to be maintained and maybe some parts renovated.

I enjoy my vacation. This day was so amazing. The hotel was so clean organized. Food is delicious. Everything was so good.

The elevators were not working for 2 days and being on the 10th floor, had to walk up and down the stairs as the service elevator wasn’t reliable either.

Only one elevator worked. Then this went down and had to use service elevator for two days. Had to move rooms because of clogged bath drain. Very loud until 2 am secondary to night club out door below

Arrived to be told we had a horrible room for outside noise (they had an outdoor bar that was open until 2am) and that we should request to be moved. We requested and were moved the second night for the remainder of the stay to a worse room without a balcony or window that opened, backing into elevator area. Housecleaning staff took a bag of stuff off the desk area from our room and we were able to get it back. No room at the pool, no towels and overall not great service. Wouldn’t return. A few friendly staff but overall not at all worth what you pay.

Room was outdated and the oceanfront balcony did not have a view at all.

Came for our honey moon, but quite a few of the spa amenities were out of order. The bar outside was very loud till 2am every night and we didn’t get to relax as we had hoped.

I normally love Fairmont. But this stay was different. Our room wasn’t ready upon check in at 4 pm. We decided to get a drink and wait. After an hour and a half, it was finally ready. They didn’t offer to cover our round of drinks until our waitress spoke up and asked them to since we had been waiting so long. We got up to the room and it reeked of smoke. It was clear the people before us had been smoking. I called to see if we could get another room as it was so strong our eyes were watering. They told me there was nothing that could be done as they were fully committed. They offered to bring us a candle. Seriously? We opened all the windows to try to air it out but it really didn’t help. Woke up in the middle of the night with the smell of smoke all encompassing. Called again the next night to see if we could get moved. Nope. No chance. The elevators also went out of service the whole time we were there, which I get things like that happen. But the lack of attention to customer service isn’t okay for the Fairmont. We should all expect more from them because we want to love them!

Incredible experience. Great for families. Heated pool; amazing spa facilities. Lots of complimentary upgrades! We will definitely be staying here again.

Totally overrated hotel. I travel a lot and i do not expect this level of poor standard from Fairmont. Firstly, upon checkin we were pretty rudely welcomed by Anvelica at the front desk. She did not bother to even greet or talk through the hotel amenities. There was no upgrade and some extra $50 that was promised with the booking. We did not receive either. Now for the worst part of the stay. There is a OPEN club called the bungalow that is part of the hotel. They have extremely loud music until 2am every night. We were on the 7th floor and ot sounded like we were in the club. We complained to the manager James who said there is nothing they can do. I understand its Santa Monica but unless you dont want any sleep this is crazy. It was that bad. During our stay the main elevator was also out of service. If there is one compliment i would love to give is to Chris at the Fig restaurant. What a charming man and lovely service he gave us. Thank you Chris.

The location of this property is perfect. Love that it's only a two minute walk to the third street Promenade, a ten minute walk to the beach and to the Santa Monica pier. Our room was a bit dated but still comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend the Fairmont to my friends and family.

Gorgeous property; room dated though with cracked mirror frame, repainted bureaus,!older carpet. The room shutters and fabric Roman shades were beautiful as were the hallways/- yet room quiet unimpressive for a glamorous hotel.

The room that we were in was not Fairmont quality. I would not even give it a 2 star. Old, out of date, small beds, outdoor Tim tables as furniture. When I called to complain, guest seri said yes we have a lot of complaints about this building and gave some excuse of being a heritage building with limited ability to upgrade. I’m pretty sure paint and carpet and furniture do not apply. I would never pay more than 150/night for this room and would. Or recommend to anyone

Really nice hotel. Close to beach walk and Santa Monica Pier (fair) and Place (shopping). Several in-hotel dining choices. Bicycles available for free. Dive-in movies at the pool. Would stay again!
