The location of the Hotel was perfect for our short stay in Sydney. Short walks to so many attractions. The pool was a welcome spot during very humid weather.

This hotel is in a great location within walking distance of public transport and some city locations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The onsite eating and bar were very handy and reasonably priced. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The air conditioning was a bit hard to regulate, it was either too cold or too warm. It was a ducted system and may be on the oldish side? The room had all the usual amenities that you would require, and we enjoyed our stay. Definitely would stay again and would recommend this hotel.

What a fantastic stay at this hotel the rooms were spotless cleaned everyday. Central to all of the big attractions. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend this hotel.

It was a good stay walking distance to Darling Harbour and public transport. Very good service for buffet breakfast and reception. The only downside was ordering a toasted sandwich at about 11.20pm to be told 30 mins later that they were out. Funny that there was bread and ham at breakfast the next morning.

Hotel location is fantastic as it is close to eateries, Woolworth mart and beautiful Darling Harbour. DH is literally 800m away. It is also close to Broadway mall which houses many clothings brands as well as Coles, Aldi and K-mart.
However rooms are dated and needs a complete sprucing up. The alleys leading to the rooms are like hostel style. For a prime location accomodation , costing AUD 200/night and managed by The Ascott, it should live up to the Ascott standard as well , don’t you agree?

Location was great. Hallway and facilities are a little out dated, would be nice if they do some renovation. Bathroom was small. Overall it was a comfortable stay. Bed was very soft and comfortable. Room was spacious.

The actual room size was very spacious so it was a bit of a let down seeing how the space was utilised in the design on the bathroom. The bathroom was on the cramped side and the design of the shower meant lots of water was sprayed out onto the floor. The location of this hotel is superb given the spacious parking next door as an option with Chinatown just next door.

Room wasn't ready, but then it was ? Told us to wait, but gave me a key. Took quite a while to check in, felt unnecessary. Staff seemed disorganised, not readily equppied for the task of check in

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic breakfast buffet. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and a lovely lady on the front desk helped us out with a parking issue and was super lovely. We will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel with decent amenities. As a Gold member we received some great perks with the hotel such as free parking and $50 dining voucher. The hotel is very close to Darling harbor, China Town, and the ICC. Also just minutes away from George street.

The Sydney Central hotel is a 3 minute walk to the light rail, 900 metres from the capital theatre and 5 minutes to Darling Harbour. While she is beginning to show her age the rooms are clean, comfortable and the staff are lovely. My wife and I liked our room service dinner. We walked up to World square the to Pitt st mall and shopped. Caught the light rail back to Haymarket and walked back to the hotel. Easy walk back to Capital theatre to see a show. Walked to Darling Harbour for dinner and then walked easily back to the hotel. All in all a great stay. We will go back.

The room itself was quite large but the bathroom was tiny. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work properly and it was really hot. I tried to ring reception but no one picked up (it was just after midnight) so I had to go down to reception to speak to someone. They reset the air conditioning for me but it didn’t help and I wasn’t able to get a good night sleep due to the hot room temperature. The hotel is in a really good location, only a few minutes walk from Central Station and the room was nice, but the faulty air conditioning really ruined the stay for me
