Had a wonderful stay for my Birthday. Every member of staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Hot tub was clean and ready for us as soon as we arrived. The attention to detail at this hotel makes all the difference! Spa facilities were perfect we enjoyed a lovely few hours in the evening with a couple of Proseccos and then another lovely couple of hours in the morning with a coffee. Best hotel I’ve stayed in so far in the lakes, cannot recommend enough!

This is a wonderful hotel immaculate throughout. There is even a Bentley car to take you on local journeys ! Their Fusion restaurant is really nice. The spa is small with parts sadly not working but was being fixed.

The room was great, and the staff were fantastic very friendly. I was disappointed that we had to wait nearly 20mins today to get into breakfast. I feel there could be a better way of arranging that. The food we had during the stay was great. Especially in the Japanese restaurant.

Everything was perfect, the room was spotless, the hottub was lovely, the breakfast was perfect. We were even upgraded!. The only things i would say is the bathroom could be more roomier, the shower could be updated with better water pressure. But other than that it was perfect.

Absolutely stunning hotel, really special attention to detail. It feels like a luxury stay! The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. Lovely location and plenty to do on site too. Would love to go back soon!

I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and I have always absolutely loved it here but last night there was a major power cut, I wouldn’t have minded but the staffs attitude was shocking telling us all it is not their problem or their issue and basically just to get on with it, our room was absolutely pitch black we couldn’t see a thing not to mention the fact we couldn’t use the spa which is so upsetting as it was my partners birthday and this is the whole reason why I booked this hotel. I understand things can happen but to be told just to grab a candle and either sit in the bar or go to our room was shocking. It was very dangerous on the stairs as we could not see a thing. What made this worse was when we awoke in the morning the power was still off, as for breakfast this was obviously off too. Just a shocking overall experience as the staff did not once try and make things any better for us all, alls I kept being told was this is not our problem! When you have paid a decent amount of money for a spa stay it is genuinely upsetting & not even to be offered a thing is disgusting! This hotel is suppose to be a 5 star so standards are obviously highly (definitely shouldn’t have staff telling me to just grab a candle and get on with it!) This birthday trip was absolutely ruined and I am so upset over the overall experience especially when you have saved up for this hotel.

Amazing hotel. Clean and modern. Staff couldn't do enough for you. All friendly and welcoming. Mizumi restaurant is stunning and food lovely. Perfect location.

our stay was amazing, the hotel is very cozy, the room is comfortable with a nice hottub. food is well cooked. the staff are very friendly. there are 3 ferries to different locations in the lake 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

PERFECT

A beautiful hotel in beautiful area of the world. Just a short walk into the centre of Bowness and all the bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. It’s a perfect location and venue for a few days away. However, the best thing about the whole experience were the staff at the hotel. Everyone from the lovely guy at the car park entrance to the reception staff and those working in the restaurant were so friendly, helpful and made a lovely hotel feel warm and welcoming.

Nice stay, only complaint no safety mat in shower, nearly fell over. Light over mirror faulty.

This is our second visit this year, love the hotel & friendly staff. Great bar area & service (especially Brian) Food at Mizumi excellent again (just need the light to be slightly brighter on the booth seats) Lovely time in the spa again, only small but luckily not many people in at the time (though we were surprised children were allowed in-would be better to be more peaceful)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lakes Hotel. Facilities were excellent including spa. Food was of high quality. Staff were very helpful. All areas were clean and well furnished. 10 min walk into Bowness.

The hotel is nice and clean, staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. The spa is its gem that is open till late and you can have a drink in there. What lets it down is its poor food, £12 per day parking and the decor in the hotel is just too tacky for me. Glitter wallpaper, mirrored vases, Buddha heads and fluffy chairs. I’m not happy about £72 charge for car parking.

Spa is fantastic and the restaurant on site was really nice. We had a hot tub room with a balcony. Clean and tidy. Nice cocktails/drinks and staff are really friendly. Only gripe is paying £10 for parking somewhere that has an open air on site car park and the beds are horrendous.

Hot tub room was lovely but not worth the spend. Very surprising to have a buffet breakfast at a luxury hotel, would have expected menu options.

This is an excellent hotel. Very welcoming from when we arrived at the gate, having prosecco when we checked in and then a guided tour of the hotel. Amazing room with a hotel tub, great cocktails and a wonderful breakfast. Would definitely return one day. If I had a minor feedback for improvement for the hotel it would be add a shelf for towels in the room (the heated towel rail often had wet bathing suits on it) and consider some complementary snacks served with the cocktails or coffee.

Our stay at the Lakes Hotel and Spa was everything that we hoped it would be. It was the perfect location for me to propose to my fiancé. The check-in was efficient and the staff were very polite and welcoming, the food and drinks staff/service couldn't be faulted. We cannot fault any aspect of our stay, only that we didn't stay longer!

Welcome on arrival at the gate and reception was really lovely. Excellent service being shown round really gave a fabulous first impression. Breakfast was lovely. The service in the bar was very slow, not very attentive. Bar and pub menu the same would have been nice to have a few more food options. Very disappointing to have to pay for parking, this was unclear at booking. Reception explained if we had booked direct parking included. I never been charged car parking at a hotel I’m staying at regardless of how I booked. This is poor.

We had a wonderful stay in a hut tub room. Very private and relaxing. Walking distance from all amenities, bars, shops and boat trips. We had our evening meal at Mizumi restaurant which was delicious. I would highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant. Excellent value for money.

Great 2 night stay. Staff were very professional and courteous making us feel very relaxed and welcome. Lots of good dining options, and a short stroll away from the centre.
