We had a balcony with an ocean view and it did not disappoint! The room was spacious and clean...we especially liked the large shower. The amenities were superb...the pool and beach were very well maintained, and the staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet had everything and was very well done. The staff were very professional--first class.

The two ladies and gentleman at the reception were very polite and helpful.
Mrs Bini, came out to greet us and offer assistance, amazing lady, amazing staff.

Nice big hotel, however there are not enough sun loungers available at the pool & beach. People start reserving sun loungers early in the morning before breakfast

BUT ONE advice - PLEASE BUILD ROOF OVERHEADS OVER THE PARKING LOTS. TENTS. It will really be a great service and comfort to all your clients. And it doesn't cost much at all. Thank you. Vladimir Matias

Went for diving so glad to stay where the dive centre is located.
Hotel itself is looking and feeling old & is in need of renovation. Is very much over shadowed by the new Intercontinental Hotel next door & yet the prices of the stays are very similar.
Wifi in the hotel is ridiculously slow - try and stream anything and it will drive you crazy!
Hotel front office staff don't seem to wear uniforms which is a bit odd - not a great look IMO but that is for the hotel management to figure out.
Great location but in need of investment & upscaling of restaurants.

Rooms are very good, clean , great view. What I didn’t like was that there wasn’t enough swimming area along the beach.

The hotel is amazing, great breakfast and great service. The room WiFi was the only let down.

Overall our 8 night stay was excellent. Everyone on staff was pleasant, courteous and professional even to the point of remembering our names. The only discordant note was the shrieking children. We’d read of this in other reviews but didn’t realize how pervasive it is. Very much a family resort, with lots of activities and amenities.

Beach front location on excellent ocean beach. Nicely landscaped grounds and large pool with pool bar. Better beach setup than neighboring hotels.
Large room with balcony overlooking beach. Room well appointed and very comfortable.
Easy access to free onsite parking. Checkin/checkout process went without issue.
The only negatives were 1) the high prices for onsite food and restaurants not open between 4 and 7 pm which is not at all convenient especially with families and 2) room not serviced until around 5 pm which is about the time I returned from the beach.

Ok stay . Good property with great facilities . But not well maintained and is short on staff to provide a good service . Not the best value for the money at the moment .

We had a great weekend get away, the beach was great, the sand beautiful, ocean water was so clean and warm. The hotel staff, all, wonderful and so friendly. Restaurants food was really good, very good buffet breakfast.

Al Aqah Beach is at the top for beaches in UAE. Wide natural sandy beach with waves, which is unlike most others in the country. The facility grounds are the best laid out of those at Al Aqah. Lots of shaded seating close to the water. Large pool of varying depths. Has pool bar but it was closed during this stay. Indian Ocean beaches and water notably cooler than those on Gulf, so tolerable even in August.
Room, bathroom and closet were large and balcony usable with ocean view. Furnishings plain but functional. Little things like tiny trash baskets and hard to use temperature controls in shower were the only annoyances in the room.
Restaurants in hotel were very expensive. Suggest bringing as much of your own as you can to minimize restaurant visits. Small dorm-sized refrigerator is provided.
Overall worth a return trip.
