I was looking for a cheap alternative to staying in AC for 150-200 per night and I didn't mind being half hour away, so this worked fine. Condition wasn't the best but it was acceptable. Didn't realize there would be a kitchen which was a nice surprise. everything worked so I really have no complaints, but it all about your expectations... I knew I was staying at a budget place so I knew what I would get. There was good and a gas station right nearby too which worked out well for me.

The front desk was highly rude. They were very disrespectful. Gave us bare minimum. Yelled at us

Long story less long they have bed bugs I was bit on my neck and foot. The guy in charge was rude when I told him about the situation.

It was cleaner than most and employees are polite.

Did not stay at this place because there seemed to be a "confirmation" discrepancy. The jerk that manned the reception station argued his position, told me he did not want me to stay and brokered no discussion on the issue though I showed him the confirmation email in my possession. Whatever the issue was, this establishment chose to send me away rather than figure out how the problem could be remedied.

Overall the place was a great place to stay but the shower curtain had mold on it, there was a cricket in the bathroom, the water from the jacuzzi was brown yellow and dirty Hair in the tube No iron or iron board as well Gentleman at the the desk was kind of rude Told him I was coming from CT so I would arrive around 3AMish So it sounded like he didn’t like that at all because when I got there he was sleeping. And I had to wait for him and was ringing the bell at the door for a little So like I said it was a good place to stay but definitely not a place I would recommend. First and Last for me!

It was clean and comfy. Quiet area (although no options for real food around) and super affordable. Quick check in and will def be back soon

Neighbors were VERY noisy. I complained and was told there was nothing they could do. Also the neighbors smoked pot, the hallway reeked of it. I was down the only hallway at the hotel with only 4 rooms. I was there for 2 weeks and booked for a 3rd week only to be told that they denied my booking because they were supposedly booked full. When i booked i got the last room.

It's a smell between humidity and smoke, even that are "smoke free" rooms. I couldn't say if is because the a/c were on on fan or the carpet or what, but this last time the smell was terrible. I have to ask for an air refresher to try to put away the smell. The maintenance guy was nice, but the guy at the front desk had a nasty attitude when I went to complaint. The rest was great.

no amenties or breakfast . it was close to the family. the first room smell so we ask for another room.

Carpet had dog hair and what appeared to be toe nails that were never vaccumed up. Room smelt like dog pee. All i wanted was a nice clean place to sleep and never got it. TV didnt work and called desk and said theyd be there in 5 minites and never showed. Went to bed and tv came on by itself. I didnt have a dog i was by myself. Next time im better off sleeping in my truck. Didnt see any bed buhs but treated all as if they did to be sure. List goes on and on....

Bad service. Dirty room. Old style linen. Didnt call it budget for no reason.

Bad experience because of the number of flies difficulty sleeping because of flies , flies were throughout the room did get another room following day not much better few flies and 2 baby roaches

what would've made it a gaid reat experience. if the beds wouldnt rock. I was afraid i'd fall out the bed if my wife would have gotten out of the bed with out warning me.

this was not a particularly nice hotel, certainly would not bring a date here, but for the price it is sufficient and clean.

The motel was older or you could say (dated) but my smoking room was clean,and suited my needs. Basic and low cost.

It was great, nice and quiet.

We stayed overnight so we could go to my High School Reunion. We had stayed 5 years ago for the same reason and found it a pleasant place to stay. Prices are reasonable, rooms are clean, and place is close to everything you need for comfort.

Flies in the room, a dried noddle on the bathroom sink faucet, pizza sauce on the door and door knob, smelled like beer, TV from 1980, need I go on?

The hotel was very nice. The room was very comfortable and the staff was friendly.

The room was clean except there were at least 10 flies. Freezer was leaking water. Drawer stayed open on right side of bed. Some noise from upstairs but tolerable. Sheets were very clean but towels need to be updated as they were very coarse.

You get what you pay for. In light of the pope in town, I needed a spot for one night. It served its purpose. However, I spent the first night killing 13 flies. Had it not been for the flies, it was ok for one night. Do not take your wife or girlfriend she will not stay here.

I was staying one night only and did not have high expectations since the price was very economical. The room was clean and up to date. Linens looked fresh, and the furniture new. I was expecting a worn-out room with chipped furniture and bare carpet.

Firstly I don't travel. I'm not fond of travel, NJ, or NY for that matter. I only needed a bed and shower for two nights near NJMP for a race event. I got what I needed. I was scared by the price. $48 was way cheaper than the others and I was afraid it was going to be a dive. The weekend price should have been $55 but the manager honored the Hotel.com booking rate. Everything was clean, mostly updated. Bed was firmer than I'm used to, shower more powerful than home. Only complaint was the AC unit had a short cycle and a high speed fan. I learned by the second night to boost it to max until the room was a little chilly, then turn it back to normal so I fell asleep before it kicked on again. If I ever go back to NJMP I might look at the motels closer to the track. Buena is 13-14 miles, 20-25 minutes away but Budget Lodge really beats their prices even at the $55 weekend rate.

I was very pleased with my stay here, the only two things I would say need to be changed are the air conditioner should really be cleaned, musty smell when it's used, and I hurt my foot on the door stop in the bathroom, it's right on the floor where you get out of the shower, not a lot of thought placed into that... but that is incredibly picky, for the money I give it 5 stars
