spotlessly clean throughout all areas of the hotel . Its an old building so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as most floor uneven and stair access steep. Rooms are quirky with steps and low ceilings , and small windows : if you love historic buildings you will love this . . Our room was above the kitchen , so it was noisy during service but the hotel offer a 10.30 pm quiet time which was appreciated . Breakfast was super with good vegetarian selection . value for money : well it was good but pricey but there is limited choice in Dartmouth itself and the location was superb for exploring the town. We had no problem parking nearby although in main season this may be more challenging . all the staff were polite , attentive and smiley, yeah !

The property is in the heart of Dartmouth an undoubted beauty spot .welcome and staff friendly and helpful. The Mountbaten suite is lovely but is slighty noisy being next to the kitchen and above a pub

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean, well appointed rooms, very central and on the river. Only initial issue is getting to the hotel on the one way system in the town and finding a place to park but once done everything else was excellent.

Lovely place to stay in a perfect location of the town. You can park your car for the weekend and just walk around the town and easy access to the south west coast path. Very dog friendly and a nice greeting on arrival. Very comfortable beds and rooms and a great breakfast. Definitely would return.

I visited Bayard's Cove Inn with my elderly mother. The staff were so friendly and accommodating: Helping with parking and meal service so that she was always comfortable.

Comfy bed, excellent breakfast, quirky period building updated to todays standard. We will definitely be back!

The hotel was beautiful and the area it sits in was even better. I must say I was slightly annoyed with the email I received prior to arrival which said there was no on site parking and gave details of various car parks in the area because I’m sure my original hotels.com search had that as a criteria but when we got there one of the staff members volunteered to move his car so we could park uninhibited for free all weekend, I didn’t get his name and had no cash on me but he was a massive reason for the tip on check out. Staff were all lovely and very helpful but Georgia really made our even meal a treat, so lovely and helpful and offered to bring deserts up to our room. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and quality of food and drinks was top notch. Highly recommend Bayards Cove and Dartmouth generally, hadn’t been before but will definitely be returning.

We recently stayed at Bayards Cove Inn as we wanted somewhere special to get away after our engagement. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The venue, environment, location, staff, food and drink were all excellent! The staff especially made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to accommodate us. We'll never forget our stay. it's a 10 from us!

I had visited Dartmouth about 28 years ago with my mom and dad. The Bayard Cove Inn is located very close to the house where they would stay for a month when visiting from America. The Inn was a perfect place to bring my daughter and 2 granddaughters to give them a glimpse of what living in an English coastal village is like. The girls got a memorial view of a place that I have very fond memories of with my parents.

Excellent in every way....high quality accommodation, excellent food, very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff, perfect location to see Dartmouth.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location and restaurant.

Very good hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food and though an old building it was all in good condition. Having read that parking might be a challenge we parked at the park and ride. This worked well with a very regular bus; though plenty of pound coins were required for the £5 daily fee as the machine did not take credit cards. Note: telephone payment is also an option.

Lovely setting, cosy hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a little small perhaps but comfortable. Food is lovely with a good menu choice and a great breakfast with quality produce. Only issue really is the limited parking. Out of season there is parking on the streets around the hotel and along the front but from May to September it will be a nighmare. Great location right next to the lower ferry.

We stayed for two nights in January and thoroughly enjoyed it! Bayard’s cove is a delightful retreat in the heart of Dartmouth. Our room, ‘The Fisher’ was well equipped and very comfortable. The included breakfast was top quality and the coffee was fantastic - proper barista style. What really made our stay so enjoyable was the staff - everyone was so friendly and welcoming, we felt a real family spirit and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back one day!

Room was beautiful , with a view of the river and sunrise in the morning. Ask for room 3 Raleigh. Lovely breakfast and super helpful staff. Amazing 14th century hotel!

Hotel was beautiful ,staff were helpful and accomodating .We arrived late and kitchen /resteraunt was closed but they made food for us and brought it to our room really quickly.
