Although just a short ten minute walk from the craziness around Shinjuku station and Kabukicho, the area surrounding the hotel was dead quiet at night.
Having stayed in more than a dozen hotels in Japan, this has without a doubt the most uncomfortable bed. It is hard as a rock. It doesn't even feel like there's a box spring mattress, but more like you're sleeping directly on wooden bed slats.
The bathroom reeked of sewage. It probably didn't help that the ventilation in the bathroom was completely clogged up with dust. How on earth housekeeping and hotel maintenance couldn't catch this issue speaks volumes about this hotel.
The windows have wooden shutters instead of blackout curtains. But they are too small, allowing for light to leak through.
I had made a reservation for eight nights, but already on the first night I made reservations at another hotel in Shinjuku Gyoemmae. Unfortunately there were no rooms available immediately, so I had to stay at Nishitetsu Inn for two nights. I don't think I was able to sleep even for a minute.
When checking out six nights prematurely no one at the front desk seemed interested in why I chose to leave so early. But then again, my reservation was non-refundable so they already had my money. At that point I regarded it as a sunk cost, I just wanted to get out of there and go to a proper hotel.
I can't understand the good reviews for this place. It has the quality of a poor hostel with a fancy front desk.

I like that it's quiet yet walkable to the main shopping around (around 10 mins ). It has 711 and family mart in a few steps. Room is decent size!

The room and bathroom sizes were reasonable, the tub was a good size, the room was clean, the premises were clean and bright, the staff at the reception were helpful and tried their best to understand us. The subway was a really short distance away. There is a family mart, a seven eleven and a pharmacy nearby, restaurants nearby. Win-win.

2nd floor is not my first choice, I had requested high floor.

The staff was very helpful whenever I needed something. They helped with transferring our luggage to Osaka as well! Great location near the Shinjuku station. There is a cafe and yakitori place in the building.

Staff were very nice and accommodating. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious. The breakfast was really good. This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Shinjuku Station or a 3-5 minute walk from the Nishi-Shinjuku Station. I recommend and would stay here again.

The hotel is ok for the price except for one thing that will make me not come back, and that is that the bathroom smelled like sewage constantly.

Very good hotel for the price. Bed was super comfortable. Nice amenities. Friendly staff. Location was excellent for nightlife. Walking distance to JR rail station.
The only thing I did not like was the room itself was very small. Hardly space for 2 medium suitcases and 2 backpacks.
Otherwise it was very good and comfortable. Would recommend if you want to stay near the nightlife.

Single rooms are very small but cozy. If you’re in Tokyo you shouldn’t be there to hang out in your hotel room anyway!
Anything and everything food and transportation wise is nearby within walking distance.

The places I had to visit were very scattered so I picked this hotel for its central location. It was just a few minutes from Nishishinjuku Station and about 15 mins from Shinjuku. When I checked in the staff told me I booked a smoking room, which I didn't notice when I made the booking, and unfortunately all non-smoking rooms were unavailable on that day. At my request, the hotel kindly allowed me to change to a non-smoking room on the second day. Thanks a lot for their help.

Clean, quiet, close to Marunouchi Nishi Shinjuku station and 15 minute walk from main Shinjuku JR station. Less expensive than other similar hotels in the area.

The reception staff was so rude during my checkout. After our family’s 4-night stay in two rooms, I booked one room on our last day kust to store our luggage since we had an evening flight back home. I was advised by the reception staff on our 4th night that I do not t have to check out on one of our rooms and just check out the day after. And when I was checking out, I was charged with JPY5000 more for using the room by 2 person - even if I kept on explaining that we did not stay inside almost the whole day and only stored our 8 luggages. They did not even clean the room for 2 consecutive nights! The staff was so rude in explaining the reason as if he owns the hotel. He cannot even communicate in English. The hotel should attend into this matter since such experience breaks the good customer service image I have with Japan.

The breakfast buffet is terrible! Don't waste your 1,400 yen there....there's nothing to eat :(

Small rooms but very well furnished and with lots of little conveniences such as hanging racks and power points. Near a subway station and the JR shinjuku station

Great hotel and good price for location, which is easily walkable to the main areas of Shinjuku. Late check out after 10am only available for a fee of 2,800 Y per hour.

Wonderful staff and very close to all the needed sights of Shinjuku. About a 10-15 walk to Shinjuku Station and Kabukicho. Only down side is there was a weird egg smell that came from the pipes. It did go away if you close the drains and keep toilet seat down.

I was very excited to see a cafe as we entered the hotel. It smelled incredible. It made going for coffee and breakfast so convenient.
Check-in and Check-out was a breeze. Coin laundry was easy to use. We stayed 10 days, so we definitely needed it.
This hotel is a 10-12 minute walk from JR Shinjuku station, but super close to the subway as well. There is something in every direction, this location was truly amazing. The rooms were very spacious, I was surprised. It was a bit dated and chairs and walls were stained and scuffed. It didn’t matter to me. It was clean with a great location and staff was amazing.
