My husband and I had an absolutely delightful stay at the Chalet Romantica. Nadine is the perfect host, providing a warm welcome and lots of great insight and recommendations on activities and restaurants. Her enthusiasm for the area is infectious. The chalet is very well located on a hill overlooking the bay. It is a very short walk to restaurants and the waterfront. Views from the rooms and terrace of the chalet are gorgeous. Our suite was very spacious and well outfitted. The toiletries were really nice. Nadine prepared a lovely hot breakfast every morning in addition to a good continental breakfast.

The location is wonderful with a super view on the Bay, Breakfast was awsome (with a view), the room is very comfortable, everything perfect. On top of everything Nadin and Inge (her Mom) were the greatest hosts!If we are ever in the area, we are sure to come back, and will certainly send our friends.

We arrived to Chalet Romantica and were immediately stunned by the gorgeous property and views. Everything is as described in the photos and the views are even better in real life. Nadine went out of her way to assist us- even preparing an in-suite breakfast when our excursion departed around 6am one morning. This is probably the best B&B we’ve stayed at in NZ and would definitely come back if the opportunity arises. Thank you for a magical and amazing stay!

The attention to detail by the hostess was amazing. From the beautifully present breakfast to the ultra comfortable bed. This is one place we can't wait to return to. A special place that makes it visitors feel special as well.

Nadine and Chris were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was not only tasty, but beautifully set. Nadine even gave us a beach bag with towels and sun block to take with us on our boat trip to the islands.

Our hosts thought of every detail including a variety of pillows! They were helpful in recommending ding and arranging Tours of their region...and we loved it!

Best place we've stayed in a long time, worth every penny! Inga the host was very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded to the private cottage and we're so gutted we couldnt stay another night and really enjoy it! Breakfast was also amazing. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the chalet romantica for our honeymoon. The location was beautiful location tucked on a hill at Paihia, the view from the balcony on our room was to die for. Enge was so helpful and lovely kind person, the breakfast each morning was fantastic too! Would highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed in the Chalet for three nights. Inge was a wonderful host and helped us with activities, restaurants and general knowledge of the area. We were able to do laundry which was great and still see and enjoy all the sites in and around the Bay of Islands. Inge provided a terrific breakfast in a beautiful covered enclosed porch which looks out over the bay. It was truly a wonderful stay in the Chalet.

B&Bs can be a coin toss but Chalet Romantica is a gem. Inge the owner is lovely and will make you feel more than welcome. The room and bathroom were spotless and the view amazing. Youll be in for a treat for breakfast... beautiful and thoughtfully arranged table. So sad we were only there 1 night but we wont forget this place

Inge is a wonder. She gives attention to guests concerns and questions quickly and with charm. She thinks of the little details such as arranging tours ahead, having extra amenities such as hand laundry liquid in the room, and clothslines! Breakfast choices include eggs prepared to order, very fresh fruit compote and cheeses, breads, meusli, and more. She even drove us to the Intercity bus stop upon departure. You can see beautiful views over the activities on the bay from the breakfast room, terrace and decks.

The Chalet is outstanding: clean, spacious, drop dead view of Paihia and bay, home cooked breakfast (more than u can eat) and Inge is willing to help u plan your visit and reserve tours. Quiet because there r only 4 rooms.

Inge (host) made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast in the morning was masterchef quality. She also booked the tour for us and made dinner reservations in Russell. She got us a discount on the tour. I would book again just to visit her. The place itself is beautiful with very nice views of the bay. It is also very close to the town center. The host has arrangement for parking in the town. I did a lot of research between Paihia and Russell and in conclusion, I would say if there is a room available, just go ahead and book with Chalet Romantica.

Both the room and breakfast area have great views of the bay. Inge is an excellent and warm host. Fantastic stay.

Very quiet. Great view. Super walkable. Downtown is literally a five minute walk. The breakfast is amazing.

We had a splendid stay, Inge is a great host, we would recommend this hotel to anyone.
