Friendly service, lovely room

An exceptional, family run hotel perfectly situated for exploring Canterbury on foot. A very warm welcome with tips and advice on the City. Superb breakfast included. On site parking. I couldn’t fault anything.

Our stay was great. Very comfortable bed, clean bathroom, excellent breakfast. The hotel is close to the city centre and we could do everything on foot. The staff were very friendly and polite.

My room was on the ground floor. It was unsafe to open the window at night which was facing the carpark. However it was necessary to open the window at night as there was no ventilation in the room. The room was dated as well.

Breakfast was fabulous. The guy working the front desk was helpful and courteous. The bathrooms had no hooks to hang items and nothing to hold onto when getting into a very slippery tub. They never cleaned out room. The parking area was horrific as extremely limited and small. We had to find a place on the street. They recommended we park at a place 1/4 mile away. I wouldn't ever recommend this place.

Room was large, spacious and comfortable. Although in the original part of the building and facing onto a busy main road which at times was quite noisy the room had secondary glazing to at least cut out some of the noise. This made the room quite warm and with no air con the addition of a fan would be welcome... or take one like i did. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the bufffet breakfast had everything you could want. Parking is a bit of an issue with not enough spaces for the rooms and the staff using the spaces cuts the numbers down even more. There is some road parking nearby or even a small payable car park. The addition of a small but fairly shallow pool was very welcome along with a lovely compact garden area to sit in. There is also a treatment room in the building run by a lovely knowledgeable lady and offers a variety of treatments. I opted for a massage which i must say was excellent. This facilility is a great addition to the premises.

Excellent small hotel with very friendly staff and nice breakfast. Only downside was the limited parking available. The staff did make sure everyone was happy, but there was only around 10 parking spaces, but they were free unlike other hotels. Would definitely stay here again.

Heated swimming pool and English breakfast available. The car park is not great for big cars. The room had mould in the bathroom and there was hair when we checked-in. Very close to the town centre.

Beautiful room, fantastic food, the staff were lovely, couldn’t do enough for myself and my daughter, only wish we had booked more nights

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was exactly what I needed. The bedroom was very pleasant and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend a stay.

Communal areas need attention, hallways, stairways. Pethaps a lick off paint.

I stayed for two separate nights in one week and I was greeted at all times by professional and friendly staff. The breakfast was outstanding! They use top quality foods which made breakfast a very enjoyable experience. I had an issue with the TV in the room but my feedback was taken on board and had clearly been looked at when I returned. If I am ever back in the area of Canterbury, I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Arrived for a spa trip with my daughter. There isn’t a spa at the hotel! It’s a small swimming pool and a beautician. The massage we had was very good but our room was not ready for us. We arrived for check in at 3 and when we went to our room someone else has already slept in it. We had to wait until 5:15 for the room to be cleaned and this was cleaned by the independent beautician in the end. The hotel is not staffed so there were no house cleaners to assist. I was so disappointed as this cost £200 and I believed to be staying in a spa hotel. There was no bar/ evening food. Whilst waiting for our room we weren’t even offered a coffee. I feel incredibly disappointed.

This is a lovely little hotel with excellent facilities. Terrific breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. A 10-minute walk from the centre of town and although on a busy road a very peaceful place to stay. Also has secure parking and a delightful courtyard garden in which to relax.

A night stop to visit friends in Canterbury. Great find, perfect location with parking and a heated swimming pool though didn’t get the chance to use. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely use them again for future trips.

The water pressure from the shower in our room was bordering on non-existent, to be fair we didn't complain as we were in a rush. On the plus side the guy at Breakfast on Friday was super helpful as were the guys who checked us in and out

Great place to stop close to the ports and Eurotunnel. Comfy beds, big enough room. Excellent breakfast, friendly team. Would also make a good base for Canterbury and the area around.

Staff very helpful and friendly at this clean and comfortable hotel with car park, good breakfast, lovely garden and only a short walk away from Canterbury Cathedral and shopping centre.

Parking difficult. No elevator, though our bags were carried to our room.Ice not available in bar. Good breakfast. Lovely gardens. Manageable Walk 20 minutes to city center. No restaurants within easy walking distance. A dated hotel with no air conditioning

A nice hotel, perfect walking distance from the town, friendly staff and comfy. It is a little dated and in need of some tlc in places. The radiator in our room made a clicking/dripping noise throughout the night which was also a little annoying. The breakfast in the morning was brilliant and the availability of a car park was great. Would definitely return, perhaps not in that room.
