This is a great facility if you're not the fussy type, location is good and bad, but it's nothing they have any control over, Everything was spotless clean, they called us as soon as our room was available and they offered to shuttle us downtown on golf carts. This little place will be our go to in the future

Prior to us arriving we received a call letting us know that we could check in early if we wanted to. They also verified that they would be able to accomodate our request for a lower level room, which we requested because we were informed that there are no elevators as part of our booking confirmation. Upon arriving at the inn you could tell that it is part of old Myrtle Beach, but don'tjudge a book by its cover! The staff at the desk was extremely friendly and personable, and he was able to answer any questions that we had. The building is well taken care of and provides the comforts needed for a stay in Myrtle Beach. The room was clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. A huge perk to these rooms is that they have a full size refridgerator and a kitchenette! We would definitely stay here again, and recommend anyone looking for a room in Myrtle Beach to consider it as well.

Stayed here the past several years and every year it's the same .... nothing to complain about. The staff is wonderful and friendly and go out of their way to make sure the stay is enjoyable.

I have never felt more like a VIP than when I stayed at the Darlington. I was contacted the day before and arrangements were made for my early arrival. When I got to the hotel, I was met by members of the staff who made me feel like family. They assisted with my check-in and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I enjoyed it so much, I extended for one more day. I have stayed in several hotels at Myrtle Beach, but not one had a better staff. I can't wait for my next stay there!!!!

This property was very close to beach. We reached early before 4:00 and room was ready . They gave us room key around 11:00 am because we were there. Really good staff and maintained clean facilities. We didn’t like the mattress but for 2 nights we adjust it. Kitchen had everything for us to use. We will definitely come back again.

Well Jeff, Sheila and their son Zach make this property standout. They take the time to welcome their guests and it is really neat to see a family run operation. The property itself is similar to most of the hotels on Ocean Front in South MB; a bit 80ish. A couple other hotels highlight “Color TV” on their signs to give some context. I hope that doesn’t come across as negative; it just explains to area. Their rooms are clean, furnished well with a large fridge, oven and houseware for meals. The premium part of their place is the location. Walk across the street and you are where the concrete boardwalk starts. A beautiful walk takes you from Wicked Tuna (and its pier) to the actual boardwalk that leads to the ferris wheel and shops (and another pier). A beautiful walk. And the beach is right there the whole stretch. So, in summary, this was a great place to stay. It may not have the frills or be as fancy as some 5 star properties, but it is run by 5 star people in a 5 star location for South Myrtle Beach. Thanks for the great stay.

We were there 1 night and it was a very good night. The owners welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know. Also gave us ideas of restaurants and things to do. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Quick check in and out. Will be back!

This stay was amazing! Staff was super friendly, and attentive. They accommodated my fur baby, my partner and me in a really cozy room with beach front views. Even though I arrived later than 9pm, the staff made accommodations to arrange a meet until I had arrived to make sure we got checked in. Even the stray cute cat was pretty friendly. Overall, the stay was great. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you !

Family touch

We loved our stay here. The room was big, bright, and pretty. Very clean indoors and outdoors. Employees were really kind. The pool was great and it was a really close and safe walk to the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants walking distance, too. Thank you very much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The personal touch was amazing. I had called about an early check in, at the time I was unable to receive a definite answer and was told I would be called back. Much to my surprise I received a call back and a early arrival! I lost my room key during a early morning walk on the beach, my wife and I finished our walk more than an hour before the office opened, so we were sitting and waiting. My wife walked around to the front and the pool man was getting the pool ready, she mentioned our situation, he called the owner and the owner was there in 10 minutes and provided us with a key! Upon us returning home, I received a call from the office that an expired fishing license of mine was found on the patio and was being mailed to me. If your looking for a simple, quiet, convenient, clean, family friendly place to stay with a great ocean view, check it out. If you prefer all the fancy, sparkling, and loaded amenities the Darlington Inn is not for you. We would without a doubt stay again on our next adventure to Myrtle Beach.

Facility was old but very well kept. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. No problem with on site parking. We will definitely keep this place on our list for a short weekend getaway.

The lady who checked us in was very friendly and gave us directions to places of interest we were looking for. We later ran into the manager who like the desk clerk was very friendly. The security guard made himself known and asked some unsavory people to leave. The place was very clean for an older hotel. We hope to stay there again!

The folks that own/run this property are wonderful. I took my daughter for a little birthday beach trip and asked for an ocean view. They messaged and called me immediately to tell me they would put us on the fourth floor. They also made sure it was ok for us that there was no elevator. We don't mind walking up some stairs, but if we did have physical limitations we were informed of it on the front end. They called again before our arrival and when we checked in they were so sweet and informative. Wished my daughter happy birthday and gave us an excellent overview/lay of the land. Awesome folks. This property reminds me of another hidden gem we always go to in Fort Lauderdale after our cruises out of that port. The location is excellent. It's a quiet, classic little beach inn that has a really good vibe. They dont put up with any shenanigans there either, so it's a more mature/couple/family oriented clientele that's staying at this property. Lovely folks running this place. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. A throwback, classic beach inn that is such a welcomed respite from the chain hotels. Thank you very much for having us. We shall return :) Important Note - Try to arrive by 8 PM or before to check in. There aren't all night desk clerks sitting there like chain hotels. I fumbled the ball on that and arrived a bit past the mark. I respect your time and apologize I kept you at work longer than you should have been there :(

The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. It is a small family owned business so you aren’t going to get all the accommodations of bigger hotel chains. However, the room and linen were clean, pool area was nice and the location was near the boardwalk. For some the room might be a little hot but for me and my sisters, it was just right. One hotel could use some updates, but the TV, bedding, coffee maker and fridge were all new. For what it lacked in modern upgrades, the cleanliness of the room, hospitality, friendliness and willing to assist made up it. My family and I would definitely stay again. Thank you

Great location, extremely nice and helpful staff but not very comfortable. Bed are so soft my back was killing me and no elevator so 4 flights of stairs were tough. Nice view and you can walk to pier and beach just across the street. Free parking and internet.

We had an amazing stay! The staff was friendly. Our rooms were clean upon arrival which was very impressive because we have stayed at other hotels in the area that were not as clean. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. The beach is a close walking distance so was the pier. Parking was very easy and in front of the rooms. The pool area was super nice and enjoyable for our family. We would definitely book again!
