We had to check in late and leave early but it was comfortable and clean and they were super nice.

Nice, old fashioned, clean. Unfortunately the coffeemaker was out of order.

We were greeted with pleasant faces, willing to make our stay great. We love to stay in family run business. It is so personal. Our room had nice comfortable REAL brass bed.
Come and enjoy.

The owners were very nice and super helpful. Our room was extremely clean. In fact, when I asked to see the room before I paid for it, the owner offered me to see all of the rooms and they were all extremely clean. We got room number seven, it was a huge room with a queen size bed. The bed was very comfortable and the TV had all the channels working well, something we have not found in many of the hotels on our cross-country trip. Only a couple of things would make this a better stay, one would be if they were an extra table near the sink so that guest had a place to put their duff kit. Two, it would be nice if they were a blow dryer in the room. They were the only two things I wished for. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

Front desk staff very accommodating and friendly. Our room had a weird smell so we were moved to another room. Tabitha offered us extra towels to use for the hot springs & asked us not to use the room towels. That’s understandable considering the sulphuric smell when you’re using the hot springs usually doesn’t wash out.
The room is dated but clean. The lights above the sink didn’t work and the heater didn’t regulate the temp very well.
The bed was so old & lumpy, we didn’t sleep very well. Woke up with a sore back.
Have stayed here several times and I’m not coming back. Need to replace beds & pillows badly.

Older motel that was super clean and comfortable. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Great little motel for a quick in and out weekend. They let us check in a bit early so we could head to the hot springs. The place has been well taken care of.

The front desk lady was very nice and helpful but the room had a heater that could not be regulated so the room was either 110° or 30. I had to keep getting up in the middle of the night to turn the heater on for a while, to get the heat back up. If I left it on for too long, it would roast me out.

Older, exterior door motel concept. Building itself looked very nice, dirt/gravel access and parking.
3.0
Our stay met our expectations for comfort, cleanliness and convenience.
The ownership has been updating the property and that is appreciated.
Being an older property, the walls seem to be a bit on the thin side and maybe not well insulated. Therefore, noise from adjacent rooms could be an issue. It wasn’t for us on this stay; luckily no rude or disrespectful neighbors.
I rate El Rancho as the best value in Thermop and will be staying again when traveling that direction.

It's nice to support smaller business. The only downside to here is there isn't free breakfast.

It was good but during our stay we had no curtain for the bathroom window. We were told we would get one but it never came so taking a shower was mildly uncomfortable even if we knew people weren't outside walking past our window.

The host was very helpful and friendly. This is a nice family run motel.

My stay at this motel was nothing short of a catastrophe. It's astonishing how a place like this can still be in business.
As I walked into the front desk, there was nobody in sight to greet me. Ringing the bell became an exercise in futility, and the second bell ring was met with blaring party music – as if they were throwing a bash while guests waited!
On my third attempt with the bell, there was still no response. I finally gave in and called the front desk, only to be told by a lady that she was "away right now." The lack of professionalism was infuriating.
But the true absurdity came when, without any prior warning or notice about assigned parking, the front desk woman came pounding on my door, loudly yelling that my friend had parked in the wrong spot. How on earth were we supposed to know about assigned parking if nobody bothered to inform us?
The cherry on top was when they had the audacity to inform us the next day that we weren't welcomed back. It's as if they take pride in their incompetence and terrible customer service.
Avoid this place like the plague. It's a complete disaster, and I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. Stay away unless you enjoy dealing with unprofessional staff and chaos at every turn.

Very basic, thin walls, TV problems, but it was clean.

Quiet and very clean motel with easy access to Thermopolis. Had everything we needed, but would suggest updates to the mattresses. Would recommend if you're in the area.

The room was clean! Walls are thin but I was tired so it didn’t matter.

This was such a wonderful place to stay. I was concerned because the outside doesn't look like much. But it was one of the best places that we stayed at! Some wonderful things were that the bed was really comfortable (and I have a bad back) and I loved that we got real coffee cups and not Styrofoam. Overall a wonderful place in a great town to visit.

Cute cabin-themed rooms on very well kept property. Mostly anglers staying at the hotel, so it was cool to see them heading out for the day. We stayed one night and checked out the local attractions. As a woman with her young daughter, we felt safe. Parking was right outside our room door. Tabitha at the front office was very friendly at check in. A doe with two fawn even greeted us in the parking lot after we checked in :)

Nice room. Personable staff. Good location.

It was pretty nice there and the service was awesome! The only thing that we didn't like was the paper thin walls. Up until around 2:00 a.m., this woman in another room cackled well into the night. She laughed and laughed and it sound like a gaggle of geese were in that room. Every time I would almost fall asleep, she would start in again with her VERY LOUD laughing and carrying on. Didn't get much sleep so that was the downside.

Gravel parking lot.

Nice place, clean, easy check-in. Good location if you want some quiet at the end of night, it's at the edge of town with beautiful views of the mountains. The only improvement I can suggest is a new mattress, it's a little saggy. We'll definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Very old building and dirty. Carpets probably have not been cleaned since the beginning of time. Doors to all the rooms are very squeaky. Sink was dirty. Cigarette butts all over the place outside (very nasty). I would not recommend staying here unless you are desperate.

First place I ever stayed at, that had both rear windows in the room UNLOCKED. Very dangerous for a traveling woman. Its a good thing that I always check ALL windows in the room to MAKE SURE THEY'RE LOCKED. The first time I was ever disappointed was at EL Rancho motel.

The place is old but well maintained and clean. Person at check-in was kind enough to recommend the mineral baths nearby, she even offered to loan us extra towels. It was awesome!

Very pleasantly surprised. Good value for the money. Clean! Lady working the desk was friendly and courteous.

Check-in was easy. Saw we had a large family and allowed us to stay in a bigger room that was being remodeled. That room is going to great when it’s finished.

Pleasantly surprised! Newly remodled, clean, nice updated decor. Perfect for us and nice open space for our dogs. Front desk check in was easy and lady was kind and welcoming. Would stay there again and highly recommend
